Data Table Record

In Data Table records, you can create a multiple year and multiple item data table. You can upload table data from another program, such as Microsoft Excel® or Access®. You also can download the data table to a comma-separated file.

The Data Table record differs from the Import record, which is intended to connect to a complete set of historical data. You will likely use Import records during CCH Tagetik Supply Chain Planning setup, and use Data Table or Data Entry records to add historical data as it becomes available.

You can reference any entry in the data table in other records using a standard notation.

Data Table records can contain some or all of the following sections:

To configure a Data Table record

  1. In the Data Table section, do one of the following:

  2. Type data into the table.

  3. Click Upload to paste data into the table.

    Uploaded data must be in a tab-delimited text format. 2. To change a row or column's name or date, click the row or column heading and make your changes. 3. Select any of the following as needed:

Data Table Setup Options

Option Description
Download Download the data table to a comma-separated file.
Upload Upload table data from another program, such as Microsoft Excel® or Access®.
Add Item Add a row to the data table.
Add Period Add a column to the table.
Refresh Refresh the table after making changes.
4. In the upper-right of the screen, click OK.
5. To save your changes to the database, on the menu, click Save All Changes.

To reference an entry in a Data Table record

  1. In the properties section of a record, in the Name field, type the name of the Data Table record followed by a period and the name of the row heading.

For example, to reference the row 'Products' in the Data Table record named 'Hardware,' type:

Hardware.Products

The reference is case-sensitive.
