Add Records to the Database

Typically, only CCH Tagetik Supply Chain Planning Administrators or Database Administrators add new records to the CCH Tagetik Supply Chain Planning database.

To add a record to the database

  1. In the left pane, click Workflow Task > Forecast Database.
  2. On the menu (), click New Record.
  3. In the Record Type screen, select a record type and click OK.

The content of the record depends on the record type. The following steps apply to several record types. However, not all record types are included.

Database Parameters

Parameter Description
Name Type a name for the record.
Owner Select the appropriate user name. If you leave this field empty, only administrators can change this record. You can configure the database to allow all records without owners to be changed by any user account.
Historical data source 1. In the right column, click Local data source > Local data table. 2. In the Historical Data section, type the historical data in the table. This table is the default method for data entry, but you can change the method in Properties. See Add Historical Data to Records.
5. You may want to use the other properties to assign the record to a product group or department.
6. After you have entered data in the last cell of the Historical data table, click OK to generate the forecast.

The forecast graph displays the historical pattern and the forecasted data points. The Adjustments and Overrides table displays the forecasted data. 7. If necessary, apply any filters or enter adjustments and overrides.
