Reporting: user roles
User roles associated with reporting¶
A user's ability to design, modify and navigate forms of any type depends on the roles associated with the user in the specific application database. A list of the system roles, correlated with reporting jobs, is provided below. For more details, see Roles.
| Role | Description | Licence requested |
|---|---|---|
| $ADMINISTRATOR | Has administrator privileges for an application database and can: - design data entry forms and reports - define financial statement templates | Administrator |
| $USER | Has contributor privileges and, based on the reading and editability rights for the entities for which they are responsible, can: - enter data from data entry forms - run reports and view the data they contain | Power User |
| $ALL | Can access all $ADMINISTRATOR and $USER functions. | Administrator |
| $DEREPORT | Can do the following: - run reports - enter data in data entry forms - run data processing included in data entry forms or configured in a process workflow. | Data Entry & Reporting or higher |
Note: custom roles can be created for specific needs (e.g. create a contributor role with the possibility of creating ad hoc forms).
