Purpose of the page

This page allows you to define overrides on entity attributes for the process’s original scenarios/periods.

Page fields

Element Description
Original scenario/periods Allows you to select scenarios/periods on which to run the overrides for the entity. - All: selects all original scenarios/periods associated with the entity. - Selected: activates the button, which opens a page to select the desired original scenario/period.
Entity Selects an entity or node from the process’s non-time dependent hierarchies.
Only CTP Allows you to use entities that are in the group but not consolidated, or entities owned by the group with negligible percentages, as the counterparty in intercompany declarations only. Choosing From Entity elements table tells the system to use the settings present on the entity dimension table.
Only consolidator data Tells the system whether to enter, for the entity, data on consolidator categories only. Choosing From Entity elements table tells the system to use the settings present in the entity dimension table.
Deconsolidation method Defines the entity’s deconsolidation method. - From Entity elements table: the system uses the settings present on the entity dimension. - Not to deconsolidate: never runs deconsolidation. - Deconsolidate only initial balances: for entities on which no FS data has been entered on the original scenario (except for carry forward), on the original scenario the system only deletes data originating from carry forward operations from the previous year. Used when the deconsolidated entity merges with another entity in the group or is sold at the start of the current year. - Deconsolidate from previous period: data not yet consolidated is attributed to the subsequent consolidation period. Used when the entity is sold or merged during the year soon after the last interim consolidation. - Deconsolidate from current period: data deconsolidation follows the standard process. Used when an entity for which significant data has been entered on the original scenario is sold or merged during the year.
Generate CTP eliminations Defines the CTP elimination mode according to the entity’s consolidation settings. Its purpose is to prevent the system from generating journals in the original scenarios that will never be used and to prevent matching for entities that may not declare their own ICs. - From Entity elements table the system uses the settings present on the entity dimension. - All elimination logics: for line-by-line or proportional entities included in the intercompany matching cockpit and are not only counterparty. - Exclude IC elimination logic: for entities not included in the intercompany matching cockpit, the system generates counterparty eliminations only for elimination logics with Equity evaluation method not set to Delete. See Equity evaluation data processing. - Never: the system does not generate counterparty eliminations and the entity is not included in the intercompany cockpit. This is the default value in the event that the entity is counterparty only or is at cost.
IC matching Defines the requirements for running intercompany matching based on the entity’s consolidation method. - Mandatory: failure to run matching blocks submission. - Optional: intercompany matching is not mandatory for the entity, but is run when the counterparty entity has made intercompany declarations. - Automatic: the system runs intercompany matching automatically when at least one of the two entities has this option activated. Relationships do not appear on the IC cockpit. Failure to run matching does not block submission. They are automatically balanced in the IC elimination journals regardless of the balancing threshold value.
