Carry forward data processing
Introduction¶
Carry forward is used to initialise the initial balances of balance sheet accounts with the final balance from the previous year. This data processing is necessary both for consolidation data processing and for Cash Flow Planning data processing, and whenever balance sheet variations are used in general.
Types of carry forward data processing¶
Carry forward data processing can be limited by the following options.

| On entities and group | The carry forward data processing is run on gross amounts and IC amounts and on pre-consolidation journals on the original scenarios (entity) and consolidation journals on the original scenario (group). |
| On consolidation area | The carry forward data processing is run on Adjustment Amounts by entity and consolidation adjustments (on consolidation scenario). |
| Reverse journal | Only journal cancellation operations are performed. See Reverse journal data processing. |
