Analytical Workspaces
Introduction¶
Analytical Workspaces allow you to create customised data models that can be organised into independent structures in the CCH Tagetik application database. Those data models can contain system and custom dimensions, and an unlimited number of customised dimensions. Analytical Workspaces can also be used to manage large volumes of data and obtain complex data, calculated by mass data processing.
With Analytical Workspaces, it is possible to manage typical strategic performance management processes (e.g. HR planning, sales planning), financial consolidation and regulatory reporting processes (e.g. Solvency II, IFRS etc.) and dimensional data-based processes (e.g. profitability analysis) in parallel.
Analytical Workspace data can be used both in process cockpits and in reporting. The data management elements are defined in CCH Tagetik's web interface while report structures are created in Excel (see ).
Every workspace that is created is visible to all authorised users. Even if a user who creates a workspace has restrictions that allow them to view certain workspaces only, the workspace that they created will always be added to the list of available workspaces.
