Data processing types

Field Description
Eliminations and IC matching Specific elimination and IC matching logics. See Eliminations and IC matching.
Load financial investments on amounts Automatically feeds the financial investment accounts into the FS amounts based on the data present in the ownership structure register. The data processing acts on the original scenarios.
Import financial investment data into ownership structure register Imports financial investment data into the ownership structure register from IC amount and Entity journal data. See Import financial investment data into ownership structure register.
Generate contribution Series of data processing that allows you to obtain the consolidated data based on the original data of companies included in the consolidation. See Generate contribution.
Merger Operations through which two or more companies in the same group are combined into a single entity, either pre-existing the merger or created from scratch. See Merger.
Deconsolidation Operations through which entities cease to contribute to the consolidation due to mergers or demergers affecting all or the majority of the entity, closures or bankruptcies. See Deconsolidation.
Account reclassification and N.E.R. The purpose of account reclassification is to reclassify the values of amounts and adjustments from one account to another. The purpose of net equity reclassification (NER) is to reclassify net equity entries that must not be shown in the financial statements for the consolidated companies, in special accounts. They are performed consecutively, reclassification first and then NER. See Account reclassification and N.E.R..
Rules engine designer Data processing which, based on input data, allows you to generate journals while applying rules and conditions.

Eliminations and IC matching

Field Description
Financial investments from ownership structure register Elimination only logics for financial investments. These are read from the ownership structure register. For example, they concern the elimination of the financial investment against the owned entity’s net equity and the elimination of the financial investment’s revaluation/devaluation.
by counterparty Elimination and matching logics that take their input data from intercompany declarations. For example, these concern costs/revenue, receivables/payables, and dividends.

Generate contribution

Field Description
Generate proportional Generates the proportional amount type on the consolidation scenario (see Proportional calculation data processing).
Generate converted Calculates the converted amount type by multiplying the values of the proportional amount type by the FX rate for the consolidation currency. The proportional amount is in local currency for amounts and entity journals and in any currency for consolidation journals.
Generate consolidable and Equity evaluation Copies data from the converted amount onto the consolidable amount type. The data is copied as is for consolidated entities using the integrated or proportional method, or by generating the equity evaluation journals for consolidated entities using the equity method (see Equity evaluation).
Minorities Reclassifies the portion of net equity and of the year’s result for minorities in specific FS entries. Specific journals are generated for amounts and entity journals; for consolidation journals, reporting is done in the context of the journal itself by generating new rows (see Minorities calculation).
Use FX rates from ownership structure register The use FX rates on consolidation scenarios data processing generates overridden FX rates on the consolidation scenario based on the FX rates entered in the ownership structure register (see FX rate loading on consolidation scenarios data processing).

Merger

Field Description
on initial balances If the merged entity is deconsolidated as from initial balances, the data processing defines the incorporating entity’s incoming merger variation accounts with data of the merged entity. To do this, the data processing reads the initial balances of the incorporated entity. The data processing precedes the original scenario data processing
from previous period If the merged entity is deconsolidated as per from previous period , the data processing defines the incorporating entity’s incoming merger variation accounts with data of the merged entity. To do this, the data processing reads the data of the incorporated entity, taking account of the previous period’s entries. The data processing precedes the original scenario data processing
on entities If the merged entity is deconsolidated as per from current period, the data processing defines the incorporating entity’s incoming merger variation accounts with data of the merged entity. To do this, the data processing reads the data carried forward and the new entries of the incorporated entity within the processing period. The data processing acts on the contributor categories and is included in the entity data processing.
on group If the merged entity is deconsolidated as per from current period, the data processing defines the incorporating entity’s incoming merger variation accounts with data of the merged entity. To do this, the data processing reads the data carried forward and the new entries of the incorporated entity within the processing period. The data processing acts on the consolidator categories.

Deconsolidation

Field Description
on initial balances Deconsolidates that are defined on the process as to be consolidated with Deconsolidation Type = Deconsolidate only initial balances. The data processing deconsolidates both the amounts and the journals restored on those entities. Data is written off by defining the variation account identified as exit area variations. The normal account is written off, as well as the variation account.
from previous period Deconsolidates that are defined on the process as to be consolidated with Deconsolidation Type = Deconsolidate from previous period. The data processing deconsolidates both the amounts and the journals present on those entities. Data is written off by defining the variation account identified as exit area variations. The normal account is written off, as well as the variation account.
on entities Deconsolidates that are defined on the process as to be consolidated with Deconsolidation Type = Deconsolidate current period. The data processing deconsolidates both the amounts and the journals present on those entities. Data is written off by defining the variation account identified as exit area variations. The normal account is written off, as well as the variation account. The data processing acts on the contributor categories.
on group Deconsolidates that are defined on the process as to be consolidated with Deconsolidation Type = Deconsolidate current period. The data processing deconsolidates both the amounts and the journals present on those entities. Data is written off by defining the variation account identified as exit area variations. The normal account is written off, as well as the variation account. The data processing acts on the consolidator categories.
on consolidation area Deconsolidates entities that are defined on the consolidation scenario as to be deconsolidated. The data processing deconsolidates both the amounts and the journals present on those entities. Data is written off by defining the variation account identified as exit area variations. The normal account is written off, as well as the variation account.

Account reclassification and N.E.R.

Field Description
on entities By choosing the entities and periods based on the execution plan indicated on the process to be run, this creates entity journals through which to move the value from the accounts to be reclassified to the target accounts (as defined in the reclassification accounts logics). The data processing is performed on the contributor categories.
on consolidation area By choosing the entities and periods based on the execution plan indicated on the process to be run, this creates entity journals through which to move the value from the accounts to be reclassified to the target accounts (as defined in the reclassification accounts logics).
Net equity reclassification on entities Reclassifies, through consolidation journals, the net equity entries that should not be shown in the financial statements for the consolidated companies (e.g. Other reserves), in special accounts (Undivided profits or similar). Entities and periods are chosen based on the execution plan indicated on the process to be run. The data processing is performed on the contributor categories.
Net equity reclassification on consolidation area Reclassifies, through consolidation journals, the net equity entries that should not be shown in the financial statements for the consolidated companies (e.g. Other reserves), in special accounts (Undivided profits or similar). Entities and periods are chosen based on the execution plan indicated on the process to be run. The data processing is run on the consolidable amount type.

Rules Engine Designer (In memory consolidation)

Field Description
on entities By selecting the Entities and the original scenarios defined in the execution plan on the process to be run, the system processes the IC Amounts and Entity journal rules contained in the nodes, reading the input combinations on the Input category, and then generates rows in the Output category and dimensions.
on group By selecting the Entities and the periods according to the execution plan on the process to be run, the system processes the consolidation journal rules contained in the nodes, reading the input combinations on the Input category, and then generates rows on the Output category and dimensions.
on consolidation area By selecting the entities and periods according to the execution plan on the process to be run, the data processing runs the rules contained in the nodes by reading the input combinations on the Input category, and generates a new consolidation journal on the Output category.
