Variation accounts section

Please find below the most important fields.

Field Description Values
Type nodes of variation accounts Grouping of the variation types that define the variation generated -
Restrictions on dimensions Restriction to be applied to the variation accounts generated As Parent Account: inherits the same restrictions as the parent account. On Default Entity: inherits the restrictions defined at entity level. Based on"Dimensions Checks": the restrictions depend on how the dimension checks have been defined. None: there are no restrictions on dimensions.

Control groups section

Please find below the most important fields.

Field Description
One for each Parent Account/One for all Parent Accounts Number of control groups to be created for the parent accounts selected.
Code format and Description Criteria with which the control group inherits the code and description from the parent account.
Balance automatically The control group is made to be balanced automatically. Note: any unbalanced amounts are reported in a dedicated variation account (Balancing variation).

Diagnostics section

Please find below the most important fields.

Field Description
Severity This defines whether or not any errors detected by the diagnostic process have to be block the data submission process.
Data types to check The types of data to be checked during the diagnostic process.
Check original data on This indicates whether the diagnostic process for original data has to use the local currency or the transaction currency.

Calculation logics section

In this section, it is possible to define one or more calculation strategies to be applied to the control group.

Field Description Values
Calculate The criteria used to calculate the account balance Parent account as sum: the balance of the normal account (parent account) is calculated by adding together the detail accounts or variation accounts. The data are inserted in the detail accounts or variation accounts. Variation/detail as difference: the detail account or variation account is calculated as the difference between the balance of the parent account and the balance of the remaining detail accounts or variation accounts.
Data to calculate Data to be taken into consideration in the calculation. Gross Intercompany Journals
Suffix The common suffix for codes, when several rules are generated. -
