Work with Replenishment Interfaces
Replenishment interfaces let you look at order schedules and current inventory to see how much stock you have on hand versus how much you need based on demand. Unlike pivot tables, Replenishment interfaces do not have preset values. While the Inventory Status interface provides an overview, the Replenishment interface lets you dig deeper into records using the Quantity options.
See Work with Inventory Status.
All calculations in Replenishment interfaces are as of the current date or the following day's date. This ensures you are seeing the most up-to-date information. Replenishment interface values are for the end of the selected period (for example, for a monthly report, the inventory level is the last day of the month).
You can make adjustments to see how adding events affects your inventory.
To work in a Replenishment interface
- On the toolbar, set the following parameters
Top Toolbar Options
| Option | Description |

| Quantity | - Demand: Sort by item (similar to pivot chart, regular forecast) A roll up of the forecast provides a comparison between periods. The report uses the As Of date from records. Since these may vary by item, the report uses the data from the current or following day's date. Any Custom Schedule dates you have set for future dates are included in the report. - Orders: When order is placed The dates used are from the Projected Schedule and Custom Schedule in the records. The report includes all of the orders planned in the system. - Arrivals: Based on order placed date and lead time (includes Custom Schedule and Projected Schedule orders) - Inventory: Current levels, based on demand and order schedule - Days On Hand: Number of days' worth of inventory before stockout For example, you can set minimum days on hand or maximum days on hand. This number differs from the days on hand (DOH) in the Inventory Status report. It is calculated using the As Of date (when the inventory is optimized). The inventory is divided by the demand. There is a single value for the consumption rate (current inventory amount on hand divided by the current demand). This is the number that displays in the Replenishment report. Since days on hand are not additive, the system sums up the total number of units on hand and divides that number by the total demand. If the items you track in the system are similar, this is a good way to go. If your items are not similar, setting Unit to COGS is recommended. - Stockouts: Probability of a stockout (the number that displays is the number of items you are short) - Capacity: Based on capacity field in records, rough cut capacity planning This is the amount you can produce per week, whether internally or received from a supplier. Setting the Horizon to Months or Quarters is recommended. Report totals are percentages. For example, 100 indicates you are at capacity while 0 indicates there are no orders in the period. The period depends on what is being produced (i.e., how long it takes to produce, how many you sell). - Cash Flow: Bottom line in dollars (based on how much you're selling, COGS, price) The Unit option defaults to Units, which is the correct setting for this report. When you are beginning to use CCH Tagetik Supply Chain Planning, you may see a spike as the system may place many orders to get started and then it balances over time. |
