Compare Checkpoints

You can compare the current system to a previously created checkpoint, or you can compare two checkpoints.

See Create and Work with Checkpoints.

Note: If you change any of the parameters in the top toolbar (Start, Horizon, Unit, and so on), CCH Tagetik Supply Chain Planning automatically clears the checkpoint and restores the current system. Set these options prior to creating a Compare To report.

To compare the current system to a checkpoint

  1. In the pivot table you want to compare with a checkpoint, on the menu (), click Compare To.
  2. In the lower toolbar at the top of the screen, on the Compare To list, select a checkpoint.

A note displays below the pivot table report that says, “Values shown are changes from” followed by the name of the checkpoint you are comparing to. Values displayed are the current value minus the checkpoint value.

If you hover over a column value, a time-based comparison chart displays. The Current line corresponds to the current system, and the Baseline corresponds to the checkpoint.

See Dock Graphs in Reports and Interfaces.

To compare two checkpoints

  1. Open a checkpoint you want to compare.

See Create and Work with Checkpoints. 2. On the menu, click Create Baseline. 3. On the menu, click Clear Checkpoint. 4. Open a second checkpoint.

A note displays below the pivot table that says, “Values shown are changes from” followed by the name of the checkpoint you are comparing against. Values displayed are the value of the second checkpoint minus the value of the first checkpoint.

If you hover over a column value, a time-based comparison chart displays. The Current line corresponds to the second checkpoint, and Baseline corresponds to the first checkpoint.
