Entity/node, step and task relationships

How it works

Tasks that can be related to a node/lowest level element in the dimension hierarchy are those defined in the Business Workflow associated with the process. The following tasks are always present in each step of the Business Workflow:

  • one or more tasks defined by the user
  • a default submission task ($)
  • an empty generic task ($$)

If no relationships are created, out, only the submission task is automatically associated with all the entities in the process.

Relationships of entities, nodes and/or journals to specific task workflows, for each step of the Business Workflow, can be created as:

  • Analytical relationships, i.e. per lowest level element, where each element represents an individual lowest level element.
  • Synthetic relationships, i.e. per dimension hierarchy node, where each element represents a set of lowest level elements that belong to the node.
