Environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting

The term ESG encompasses a wide range of environmental, social and governance considerations that can have an impact on a company's ability to generate value. It is used to integrate non-financial aspects into financial performance, corporate strategy and decision-making.

  • Environmental: issues related to the environment, natural systems including land, air, water and ecosystems.
  • Social: issues related to society, the people rights and the well-being of the communities in which a company operates.
  • Governance: issues related to the company's decision-making process, management practices and corporate governance structure.

Alongside traditional financial reporting, ESG data can outline a complete picture of a company, leading to significant benefits in terms of improved access to capital, compliance with regulatory changes, enhanced corporate performance and improved corporate reputation and stakeholder engagement.

Integration with the ESG Solution of CCH® Tagetik

The pre-packaged ESG solution developed by CCH® Tagetik makes use of the Analytical Information Hub that collects data from multiple sources, standardizes it and transforms it into actionable, common, standardised and comparable metrics that allow companies to see data year-by-year and compare results and performance between different companies.

Using the Rich Text object, such data can be included within Intelligent Disclosure documents to prepare environmental, social and governance reporting that enables stakeholders, including investors, companies, regulators, communities and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to make informed decisions.

IMPORTANT: This functionality is supported by version 5.3.29.0 of CCH® Tagetik and later.
