New document creation procedure
Word Add-in > CCH® Tagetik Disclosure ribbon bar > File > New
- Define the General Information of the document
- Define Document Parameters (Optional)
- Define Advanced Document Settings
Define the General Information of the document
Word Add-in > ribbon bar > File > New > General tab
- In the General tab of the New Document section, enter the Document Name and Description
- Select the SharePoint folder in which to save the document.
- Select the language, in which to display the descriptions of the objects in the document, from the list of available languages retrieved from the Languages configuration on CCH Tagetik
- Click Next to switch to the Parameters tab

Word Add-in > ribbon bar > File > New > Source Tab
- On the General tab of the New Document tab, enter the Document Name and Description.
- Select the SharePoint folder in which to save the document.
- Select the language, in which the descriptions of objects in the document are to be displayed, from the list of available languages retrieved from the Languages configuration in CCH Tagetik
- Click Next to switch to the Parameters tab
Define Advanced Document Settings
Word Add-in > ribbon bar > File > New > Advanced tab
- Ask AI. Enables or disables the use of integrated artificial intelligence features. It is an AI assistant available within the Validation area.
- Select an available Style Template from the drop-down menu to apply to your document, or leave the default Word template unchanged. The template style will be applied to the created document after which the user can make use of all the styles in the Home>Word Style section (Paragraph - Style - Table - List)
- Select an available Language/Country from the drop-down menu to apply to the numeric format according to the region. Once the menu has been selected, the user can browse the list of countries by using the scroll bar or by typing in the exact region from the search bar at the top. When clicked, the system selects the language that will be used for the numeric fields.
- Select a numerical format from the available formats in the drop-down menu ( #,##0.0; -#,##0.0 default value ) or define a custom format. The character used to separate thousands or decimals will be converted according to the selected language/country. In the case of custom formats, it is advisable to comply with the international conventions involving the dot "." as decimal separator and the comma ',' as thousand separator.
- Select a format for the percentages from the available formats in the drop-down menu ( 0.0% default value) or define a custom format.
- Select a date format from the available formats in the drop-down menu (m/d/yy default value) or define a custom format. The representation of dates will be converted according to the selected language/country. With custom formats, it is advisable to follow international conventions of using the letter 'd' to indicate the day, the letter 'm' to indicate the month and the letter 'y' to indicate the year.
- Select a format for image objects from the available formats in the drop-down menu (PNG default value).
- Select a resolution for image objects from the available resolutions in the drop-down menu (Low Resolution (150 ppi) default value).
- Click Create to create the new document.
- Click on Previous to return to the previous tabs.
IMPORTANT The advanced settings defined in the document will only be applied to document objects that inherit the format from the parent document.
IMPORTANT The selected style will be applied to the root document and in case of part creation this will be inherited as long as the OnliLinked state is maintained.
