Integration with Seahorse for iXBRL
Introduction¶
Seahorse is an application aimed at generating files in iXBRL format to be made available to regulators.
CCH® Tagetik Disclosure Add-in allows you to forward documents to Seahorse and access the application integrated within the solution.
The service is active for the following profiles:
- administrator with a licence to use iXBRL (function '0004021 - iXBRL' enabled)
- contributor (enabled to '0004266: iXBRL - User').
Configuration of Service Provider in CCH Tagetik¶
On the Settings page (see Document Settings), users with an administrator profile see the Service Provider label along with a drop-down menu listing the available service providers.
IMPORTANT: The list of Service Providers is configured in Seahorse by the user with the role 'Service Provider Admin'.
IMPORTANT After selecting/updating the service provider, the information is automatically acquired in CCH Tagetik.

The iXBRL button is available in the ribbon bar of CCH Tagetik Word Add-in.
When an authorized user with a contributor or administrator profile clicks the iXBRL button, the home page of the Seahorse application, integrated into the solution, opens in the user’s browser.
The user is finally logged into Seahorse without the need for further action.
IMPORTANT The login to Seahorse will not be successful if the Service Provider is not defined in CCH Tagetik (see ServiceProviderTagetik). In that case, CCH Tagetik Word Add-in displays the blocking message 'No Service Provider found' in the side panel.
Document configuration for forwarding to Seahorse¶
An authorized user with an administrator profile activates the iXBRL toggle for a root document that is intended to be forwarded to Seahorse.
The iXBRL toggle is visible in the creation(Create Document) and editing windows of the root document(Edit Document).
IMPORTANT: the iXBRL toggle is only visible if the Service Provider Configuration in CCH Tagetik has been completed

Document forwarding from CCH® Tagetik Disclosure Word Add-in to Seahorse¶
For the root document configured according to (Document configuration for forwarding to Seahorse), the authorized user with a Contributor profile forwards the document by selecting the menu option Send a Copy to iXBRL
This item is available in the two Document Structure panels and is shown to the users when they select the root document and click the 
button:

IMPORTANT: The feature for forwarding documents to Seahorse can only be applied to root documents configured according to (Document configuration for forwarding to Seahorse)
When the Contributor selects Send a Copy to iXBRL, CCH® Tagetik Disclosure Word Add-in forwards a copy of the document to Seahorse.
CCH® Tagetik Disclosure word Add-in notifies the user once the operation is complete.
Note: In the label of the menu item "Send a Copy to iXBRL" CCH® Tagetik Disclosure Word Add-in displays the date and time of the most recent document forwarding.
