- Enter the Name of the object
- Click on Object Type and select Attribute Dimension
- Insert additional information if necessary
- Click Next to go to the next tab
In the Source tab:
- Select the Application Database from those available in the drop-down menu. The databases that can be selected are those associated with the user who logged in.
Note: If an object has already been added to the document, the system displays the previously selected database as the default value.
- Select the dimension from those available in the drop-down menu or type the first three characters of the dimension to be searched for (code or description) into the search bar to make a quick selection
Note: The Search functionality is supported by version 5.3.29.0 and later.
- Select the Attribute from those available for the chosen dimension
- Click Insert to add the attribute to the document, or
- Click Previous to return to previous tab
IMPORTANT: Scenario and Period must be selected for the Currency dimension to enter the attributes Average Fx rate, Final FX rate, Period FX rate.
IMPORTANT: It is not possible to nest updatable objects. For example, if an attempt is made to insert a Dimension Attribute object type within a Table or Rich Text object , the operation will be prevented and the user will be notified of the failed entry.
