How to create different types of control groups

How to create a variation control group from the control groups list table

Dimensions > Control groups > List

  1. In the table listing existing control groups, click : an empty row will be added.
  2. In the Control type section, select Variation.
  3. Define all the characteristics of the control group using the various configuration tabs, and then click Save: the control group created will be listed in the data table.

How to create a variation control group from the account elements table

Dimensions > Account > List

  1. In the account elements table, select the parent account, and then click > Create Variations: theCreate Variations, Control groups, Calculation logics window will open.
  2. In the Control Groups section, define the characteristics of the control group, and then click OK.

How to create a detail control group from the control groups list table

Dimensions > Control groups > List

How to create a single control group for a set of accounts

Dimensions > Account > List

This allows you to create a new control group starting from a set of parent accounts and to insert all new child accounts into the same group. This is useful in the case of several accounts that form a financial statement item, relating them to details or variations that regard said financial statement item in its entirety.

  1. Click to enable multiple selection, and then, in the account elements table, select the accounts for which to create the control group.
  2. Click > Create Details: the Create Details, Control groups, Calculation logics window will open.
  3. In Control groups, select One for all Parent Accounts.
  4. Define all the characteristics of the control group in the various sections, and then click OK: the control group will be created with the relative calculation logics.

How to create a control group for each account in a set of accounts

Dimensions > Account > List

This allows you to create a separate control group for each account considered as a parent account. This is useful to create a series of control groups in order to analyse the detail or variation of several accounts.

  1. Click to enable multiple selection, and then, in the account elements table, select the accounts for which to create the control group.
  2. In the account elements table, select the parent account, and then click > Create Details: theCreate Details, Control groups, Calculation logics window will open.
  3. In Control groups, select One for each Parent Account.
  4. Define all the characteristics of the control groups in the various sections, and then click OK: for each parent account selected, a control group will be created with the relative calculation logics.
