Process data management
Lock and unlock data¶
This function modifies the editability of data belonging to nodes and entities for specific steps. It acts on the possibility of manually entering the gross and intercompany FS balances and entity and consolidation journals into the system.
The system allows you to safely run the data processing, even during the data entry step. To prevent data from being changed while the data processing is underway, it allows you to temporarily lock the editability of an entity for several scenarios/periods, regardless of its submission status. Users cannot therefore edit that data, regardless of their rights or the submission status.
The editing of data processing data can be locked or unlocked from both the contributor cockpit and the consolidator cockpit. To do this, the following conditions must be met:
- Data processing must be enabled with the related function and for the role related to the user profile on the Repository (see Roles).
- For the contributor, there must be at least one of the original scenarios/periods visible to the user and belonging to the process with which the cockpit was accessed. The proposed entities are those that have been selected and/or belong to the nodes selected on the cockpit, which belong to the selected scenarios/periods, selected from the entities visible to the user that are not “only counterparty” or “consolidator’s only” in at least one of the original scenarios/periods (see Contributor Cockpit).
- For the consolidator, there must be at least one node to consolidate in the selection with which the data processing is run. The selected nodes to be consolidated will be prepared by the cockpit, visible to the user and belong to the process (see Consolidator cockpit).
