Create a standard form

This procedure explains how to create a standard form from CCH Tagetik’s Excel add-in.
- In the New form window, enter a code and one or several descriptions for the form, based on the languages supported by the CCH Tagetik project.
- Select the desired options.
- To exclude the form from data entry and navigation, click Do not display.
- To enable/disable the form as a web form, choose the desired option in Enable as web form.
- To enable the form as a Dashboard report, select Enable dashboard.
- To enable the form as a Pivot table report, select Run as pivot table.
- To make the form non-editable, select Lock Structure.
- To use an ad hoc form as a model for the new form, click
next to Ad hoc form and select the desired file. - Click OK: the form will be created and opened in Design mode.
Create a multi-template form

It is possible to create multi-template forms both in the standard form creation step and from pre-existing forms, by adding one or more templates to the default template.
- Run the desired form in design mode.
- Click the
button at the bottom-left next to the template name. - Enter the template name.
- Alternatively, click
on the toolbar, click
in the column to the left of the opened document: the new template will appear below the existing template in the form. - Design the template with matrices, filters, etc., following the general procedures for reporting.
Note: we advise against adding spreadsheets that are not associated with a CCH Tagetik template, because they are not managed correctly when the form is run.
Create an ad hoc form

New ad hoc form
Excel opens a new spreadsheet in design mode, the structure of which can be defined in accordance with the standard procedures for forms.

IMPORTANT: to save the ad hoc form, proceed as you would for a normal Excel document.
IMPORTANT: In order to save the ad hoc form on OneDrive, at least one of the following variables must be configured with the path of the OneDrive folder:
- One Drive folder configured on the excel addin by following the path, Options -> Local Settings
- OneDriveTagetik configured as Custom environment variable
- OneDrive configured as an environment variable
The system follows the following logic: If the variable One Drive Folder is populated, the relevant path will be evaluated. If the path is correct, the form can be saved correctly, but if the path is wrong, the user will be notified when opening the form that the wrong path has been used and the form will not be retrievable. If the One Drive Folder variable is not populated, the system checks whether the OneDriveTagetik custom environment variable is present. The evaluation of the correctness of the path is identical to the previous variable. Only if the One Drive Folder and OneDriveTagetik variables are not populated, the OneDrive environment variable is evaluated with the same logic as the previous ones.
The three variables must have the given names otherwise they are not considered by the system. In the absence of all three variables, the user is informed when saving that one of the variables needs to be set.
Create the structure of a transactional form

This procedure explains how to create the structure of a transactional-type form from CCH Tagetik’s web interface.
- In the Attributes tab, insert a code and a description for the form.
- In Type, choose the type of form to be created.
- In Input type, select the type of information to be managed in the form. In the Input properties section, the system automatically selects input properties that are consistent with the selected input type.
- (Optional) Change the selected input properties as desired.
- In ETL, select the desired job and period length for running the ETL routine.
- (Optional) In the Relationships tab, select a group of forms with which to associate the form.
- Click Save.
Create a transactional form
- Create a data entry form, see Create a standard form.
- Insert the COUNTER element, contained in the Counter folder in the dimensions tree, as a row filter.
- Insert the columns of one of the transactional forms present in the Column form folder in the dimensions tree as a column filter: the columns defined in the web interface for that form will be shown.
Note: the same (measure or dimension) column cannot be inserted on an editable basis more than once. 4. To be able to subsequently delete data present in a row of the transactional form, the DELETE column must also be included.
Note: if the DELETE column is not inserted, it will only be possible to edit the data already in the form or insert new data.
Create a form with a Line by Line matrix
After having created the form structure, it is possible to insert a transactional matrix into the form to create the finalised form.

- In the New form window, enter a code and one or several descriptions for the form.
- Select the desired options for the form.
- Select the cell in which to insert the matrix, the click
. - In the Choose the dataset window, click the desired dataset from the Analytical Workspace.
- Select the Transactional option.
- Click OK.
Once the matrix has been created, the system assigns a default name (e.g. Matrix00, Matrix01...), which can be edited in the matrix wizard by the Matrix options tab in the Code field.
Create and multidimensional form

Note: a multidimensional form is a form containing multidimensional matrices, which manage data on both rows and columns. For more details, see Multidimensional matrices.
- In the Choose the dataset window, click the desired dataset.
- Click OK.
Once the matrix has been created, the system assigns a default name (e.g. Matrix00, Matrix01...), which can be edited in the matrix wizard by the Matrix options tab in the Code field.
IMPORTANT: multidimensional matrices cannot be designed on datasets for which the "Show user data only" property is active.
