Open a form in Design mode

Excel > CCH® Tagetik > Design

In the left-hand panel, double click on the desired form, or click .

Copy an existing form

Excel > CCH® Tagetik > Design

This procedure describes how to create a form with a similar structure to that of an existing form, by creating a copy of the existing form. After the form has been created, it is possible to make changes to it.

  1. In the left-hand panel, select the form to be copied and click , or right click, then click Copy.
  2. Select the desired folder, then click to paste the new form: the New form folder will open.
  3. Set the basic configurations for the new form as desired (see Create a standard form).

Transform an ad hoc form into a shared form

This procedure describes how to load an ad hoc form onto the application database, to make it accessible to other users.

  1. In the left-hand panel, select the grouping node in which you intend to save the form.

Note: if the grouping node is not selected, the system saves the form in the "N.A. - Unrelated" node. 2. On the Design toolbar, click : the Import window will open. 3. Configure the general form settings (see New form window). 4. Click OK: the shared form will open.

Note: if the form is not shown in the left-hand panel when opened, click .

Transform several ad hoc forms into shared forms

This procedure describes how to load several ad hoc forms onto the application database, to make them accessible to other users.

  1. On the CCH Tagetik toolbar, click : the Import Wizard window will open.
  2. In input folder, select the path leading to the ad hoc forms to be saved onto the application database.
  3. In Grouping select the rule according to which the forms must be saved, choosing whether or not to recreate the system of subfolders that may be present in the input folder.
  4. (Optional) If you also want to copy the system of subfolders present in the input folder, select Recreate nodes using the folder structure from the selected node or....
  5. Click Next.
  6. Insert the code and description of the form (these are shown in the table of CCH Tagetik forms).
  7. Click Next: the Export Wizard Logs will appear showing details of the exported forms and/or groupings.

Click Copy to copy the log in text-based format. 8. Click End.

Transform a shared form into an ad hoc form

Excel > CCH® Tagetik > Design

This procedure describes how to export a shared form to create a local copy of it, i.e. an ad hoc form.

  1. Open the form.
  2. On the Design toolbar, click : the Save As window will open.
  3. Select the file system path to indicate where the form should be saved.
  4. Click Save.

Transform several shared forms into ad hoc forms

This procedure describes how to export several shared forms in ad hoc format, to create a local copy of them that is only accessible to the user who exported them.

  1. On the CCH Tagetik toolbar, click : the Export Wizard window will open.
  2. Select the desired forms or groupings of forms.
  3. Click next to Output folder and select the file path leading to the location in which the selected forms and/or groupings are to be saved.
  4. (Optional) Select Create groupings to copy any hierarchies into which the selected forms and/or groupings are organised.
  5. Click OK: the Export Wizard Logs will appear showing details of the exported forms and/or groupings.
  6. Click End.
