Process Data Model setup

Sequence of procedures

Define the data to be collected in the process

Application database > Processes tile > select process > > Process setup (Process Data Model section)

Application database > Navbar > Processes & Workflows > Process > select process > > Process definition > (Process Data Model section)

This procedure is crucial when defining a Process Data Model.

To define the data to be included in the process, do the following:

To define data collection on ...... Then...
account 1. In Type, select By account. 2. To include accounts originating from other forms included in the process, select Retrieve accounts from form. 3. Click Save.
account/category 1. In Type, select By account/category to collect data from accounts divided into the categories present in the environment. 2. (optional) In Category filter, select a node of categories to filter according to the categories present in the node. 3. Click Save.

Set up a Process Data Model

Application database > Processes tile > select process > > Process setup > (Process Data Model section)

Application database > Navigation Panel > Processes & Workflows > Process > select process > > Process definition > (Process Data Model section)

The following general procedure describes the order in which to set up the various configuration tabs with which a PDM can be defined and customised. To define the PDM, an account must be defined but the remaining configuration tabs are optional based on the needs of the project.

  1. In the Account tab, click , then select the accounts from CCH Tagetik dimensions and/or accounts originating from forms to be included in/excluded from the process and specify the step on which they are to enter data, then click Save.
  2. In the Form exceptions tab, click , then select forms to be included in/excluded from specific steps of the process, then click Save.
  3. In the Editability exceptions tab, click , then set the editability of accounts on specific types of data for certain categories of the process, then click Save.
  4. In the IC Step Exceptions tab, click , then select steps of the process on which to set the blocking of intercompany declarations for specific accounts or accounts/categories, then click Save.
  5. In the Control groups to exclude tab, click , then select the control groups to be excluded from/included in the process, then click Save.
  6. In the Analytical Workspace Measures tab, click , then select the measures from a dataset to be included in/excluded from the process, then click Save.

Exclude an account from a step of the process

Application database > Processes tile > select process > > Process setup > (Process Data Model section)

Application database > Navigation Panel > Processes & Workflows > Process > select process > > Process definition > (Process Data Model section)

This procedure is optional and allows you to exclude a specific account or node of accounts from a step of the process.

  1. In the configuration section of the Account tab, in Action, select Exclude.
  2. In Account, select the account or node to exclude.
  3. In Step, select the step of the process from which to exclude the account, then click Save.

Set up a specific data model by entity

Application database > Processes tile > select process > > Process setup (Process Data Model section)

Application database > Navbar > Processes & Workflows > Process > select process > > Process definition > (Process Data Model section)

To set up a specific data model by entity, an account must be defined, but the remaining configuration tabs are optional based on the needs of the project. For the option to be visible, there must be several PDMs.

  1. Create one or several customised data models and click Save.
  2. Click Process Data Model/Entity Relationships: a page will open to define the specific PDM for the entities.
  3. In the Elements tab, click , then select the desired entity and the PDM with which it should be associated, and finally click Save.
  4. In the Contributor nodes tab, click , then select a contributor node and specify node levels if necessary, then select the PDM with which it should be associated, and finally click Save.
  5. In the Consolidator nodes tab, click , then select a consolidator node and specify the node levels if necessary. Then select the PDM to associate it with, and finally click Save.
  6. In the Consolidation scenarios/periods relationship tab, click on the desired consolidation scenario/period, then select the PDM with which it should be associated, and finally click Save.
