Purpose of the page

This page allows you to add and manage elements of a custom dimension

Actions on this page

Element Description
This filters the data displayed on the page.
Adds a row in order to insert a new element.
Duplicates an element with the same characteristics as the selected one, except for the code.
Deletes the element contained in the selected row.
Enables/Disables the grid modify function. This allows you to change the characteristics of the selected elements directly in the table, and to hide the configuration tabs.
Enables multi-row selection to allow mass changes.
Selects the columns to be shown/hidden in the table and those to be locked when scrolling the table.
Exports data in Excel format. This file cannot be re-imported into CCH Tagetik.
Exports the data in Excel format so they can be edited and reimported into CCH Tagetik.
Imports data from a previously prepared Excel file.
This shows any ancillary functions. Recode: changes the code related to a variation/detail type. Translator mode: opens the page in translator mode

Please find below the most important fields.

Validity Description
From Shows the Validity start date of the custom dimension element. Together with the 'End Date', it defines whether the element at issue can be used in a data collection process. If at least one Scenario/Period associated with the process falls within the validity time range of the element, the latter will be valid for the process at issue. Note: it is not necessary to define both the Start Date and the End Date (only one of the two may be specified).
A Shows the Validity end date of elements of the Custom dimension. This information is used in the same context as the 'Start Date' field.
