Purpose of the page¶
This page allows you to define the format and characteristics of the files to export data present in a dataset.
If an extension is set in the File name field, the file will be created with the specified extension. The set file type will be respected in any case.
Where provided for, the header of the columns contains a description in the environment’s default language.
If the data processing generates several files, they are inserted in a single compressed file, even if the Zip file option has not been selected.

| Description | Description in the languages enabled for the environment |
| File type | Format of the file to be used to export the dataset (Excel, XML, text with separator). |
| File location | - Download: Forces the download from the client. - Current Server: The file is saved in the writable folder of the current server, either in the path specified in the optional field (File Path) or in the Default Endpoint (in case it is configured). - Endpoint: the file will be saved at the URL specified for the selected Endpoint, or in the path specified in the optional field (Directory). At present, only URL type endpoints can be used. |
