General tab detail

Element Description
Processes
Collaborative Office Only If activated, any processes other than Collaborative Office are deactivated. IMPORTANT: Only select if Collaborative Office is the only process managed by CCH Tagetik.
Process control (262/231) Enables Process control (262/231).
Closing & Allocation Enables the Allocations & Closing process. (See Allocazioni e closing - Overview )
Cash Flow Planning Enables the Cash Flow Planning process. (See Cash Flow Planning)
Advanced Activates the Advanced Financial Planning process (objects, indirect taxes and Cash Pooling, financial simulation).
Production Control Enables the Production Control process. (See Overview).
Financial Consolidation Enables the financial consolidation process. The consolidation type can be specified Banking/Insurance or Single currency, if only one currency is used.
Consolidation engine Specifies the consolidation engine being used. In memory: generates the consolidable amount from data on the original scenario (Proportional calculation, conversion, Minorities calculation, Equity evaluation method). The contribution data processing is a whole data processing and cannot be performed partially. Data processes run on original scenarios, entity or area data processes, are not included in the engine's in memory re-engineering process. Prefer this option as the in-memory engine is constantly being developed. Defined by process: the consolidation engine is selected at process level. Useful for consolidating old data with the standard engine and new data with the one in memory. Database: standard engine, handles data processes performed on the original scenarios, Entity or area data processes. Everything else is to be considered deprecated and it is not advisable to activate it at the environment level, in this option
Show reciprocal exchange rates If activated, the reciprocal exchange rate also appears in the grid of the generic FX rates, in-memory overridden FX rates and the ownership structure register overridden FX rates windows. The reciprocal exchange rate is expressed as 1/x, where x is the exchange rate entered in data entry. It shows up to 12 decimal places, is not editable and is not used in calculations.
Data processing
Diagnostic Activates diagnostic functions.
BS result balanced with P&L net result Indicates whether the management of the BS and P&L net result is complete with the balancing of the two profits If enabled, only the P&L net result is managed and perhaps only part of the BS result (e.g. for planning or scheduling projects).
Carry forward management Enables the carry forward data processing IMPORTANT: This can only be activated if the option 'BS result balanced with P&L net result' is enabled.
Always disable Impacted functionality in data processing Disables Impacted functionality for all data processes (See Impacted data processing mode). The option "Impacted" is disabled and hidden in all windows.
Notes language for the data processing Allows the choice of the language in which the notes related to the processes launched and saved in the logs are saved
MD engine synchronization level Desired synchronisation level when running Multidimensional Script type formulas, for performance improvement: No synchronization Deletions only Delete and Insert
Limit for the XBRL split To avoid overloading the application server, it sets a maximum limit of entries that can be contained in an XBRL file. For excess entries, a second file is generated until the limit is reached, and so on
Apply check on concurrent data processing Apply check on concurrent data processing with calculation logics Enables check of concurrent and cooperating data processing to ETLs that automatically runs calculation logic Apply check on concurrent data processing on the same data It enables the check mechanism for concurrent and cooperating data processing. When a processing is being run, the system checks whether other data processes using the same resources are already running, and if so, it raises an exception and prevents the execution from proceeding (in the audit trail, the data processing execution is labelled as Failed). If they wish, the user can schedule the data processing. In this case, the system runs the data processing as soon as the data processes using the same resources end Always apply the concurrency check to the diagnostic Allows to enable the check method of concurrent and cooperating data processing with Diagnostic independently of the fact that it first runs the data processing or updates the log of errors
Security
Accept lower case codes Allows defining codes containing lower case letters. In databases that are not case-sensitive and do not distinguish between uppercase and lowercase, this can cause problems. Disabled by default
Enable beta features Enables and makes visible the new features of CCH Tagetik still in beta version
Stored procedures visibility Current scheme Allows the user to view only the store procedures saved on the database scheme being used All schemes Allows the user to view all stored procedures saved in the database, whatever their scheme.
Attachment
Max size Maximum size of attachments (in byte). 0 = no limit
Allowed file types Allowed file extensions for attachments. Separate extensions with a comma and use wildcards such as '*' (= all extensions) and '?'.
Colours and background for the end user
Tiles transparency Indicates the transparency of the tiles on the user's home page. From 0 (not transparent) to 100 (complete transparency). (VAADIN only)
Tiles radius Indicates the rounding radius of the tiles on the user's home page. From 0 to 90. (VAADIN only)
Tiles hovering zoom Allows tiles to be enlarged on mouseover. (VAADIN only)
Top bar / Logo area / User homepage background colour Changes the colours of the top bar/logo CCH Tagetik/background for the user's home page.
Image Allows you to select an image for the user's home page.
Load default values Allows you to restore the default settings for the User Home Page.
Analytical Workspace Typology
Default Version Selects the default version in which the Analytical Workspace will be created. Choice between Unsupported Intelligent Analytics or Supported Intelligent Analytics (Recommended). Section only visible if function 0004225 - Analytical Workspace migration is enabled.

Form tab Detail

Element Description

Default segment for new filters of the Entity hierarchy Defines the segment type assigned by default to the creation of Entity hierarchies , Ctp Entity hierarchies and Custom dimension 2 hierarchies filters. - None - Per Segment - Per Segment Parent - Intersegment - Per Intersegment Parent
Default segment for new filters on the hierarchies of the Ctp entity
Default segment for new filters on the hierarchies of the custom dimension 2
Default FX rate for the new filters on the currency Defines the exchange value of amounts applied by default when creating row/column filters on the currency dimension. - Final FX rate - Average FX rate - Period - Don't convert - Based on account: Only for dataset with account dimension. The data conversion method corresponds with the account conversion method. See Form tab Detail.
Default Parameters selection mode Indicates the way in which, when the form is launched, the system sets the form's opening parameters. - Point of View: If a value for every parameter has been specified in the POV (see User settings), so the system can identify a specific form, then the form will be opened automatically. - Last used parameters: the parameters last set during the session will be applied.
Enable quick search Enables the textual search for values to be assigned to the form's opening parameters.
Conversion/Filter based on the transaction currency It uses the FX rate of the transaction currency (by default it uses the Entity FX rate).
Show the CTP for Segment dimension on the forms and on the Drill down If enabled, always displays the Ctp dimension on forms
Endpoints for Azure Information Protection Indicates the external source from which to obtain the list of Azure Information Protection labels. It is possible to choose as an external source one of the endpoints configured in the Repository, which are of the REST API type Once the external source is chosen, label management for Azure Information Protection is enabled. For more information on label management, see chapter Reporting > Addin_Excel > Azure Information Protection Label for Excel To disable label management for Azure Information Protection, uncheck the external source. To configure a new endpoint, please refer to the chapter Labels for Azure Information Protection(Endpoint Labels)
Label for Azure Information Protection Specifies the label that will be applied in the event that the forms lack it or have a non-compliant label. The selected label must be visible to all users. You can choose one of the labels from the list retrieved through the external source specified in Endpoint for Azure Information Protection. This list contains all published and unencrypted labels and sub-labels
View
Display method: tree of dimensions Defines the information displayed to identify elements in the dimension tree. - Code - Description - Code and description
Display method: form Defines the information displayed to identify the form in the dimension tree. - Code - Description - Code and description
Form sorting Defines the sorting of the elements in the forms list. - Code - Description
Override form grouping sorting When enabled, the forms groupings are sorted as specified in Forms Sorting (by default they are sorted by code).
Enable all forms as web forms Enables the use of all forms in the web interface of CCH Tagetik.
Automatically define parameters if omitted at the start Enables the automatic definition of any form opening parameters not defined by the user because optional.
Data entry
Locked report timeout (min) Allows you to enter the minute interval after which a form locked in data entry is unlocked by the system.
Lock save formulas in reports data entry When enabled, it blocks the saving of formulas when the form contains references to Excel files other than the form in use.
Make the Forms editable for currency conversion on the fly When enabled, it enables the editability of forms on which the currency conversion on the fly is enabled. Modified data in the form are converted into the Entity currency, and thus recorded both as amounts and as amounts in the original currency. Note: information about the amount in the form currency is not recorded.
Recheck the editability when saving values When active, it enables the automatic check of the correctness of the editable values when the form is saved.
Validation of Transactional forms when saving data When active, it enables the automatic validation of transactional form column values associated with dictionaries.
Use optimization in report data entry Enables the optimisation of the editability calculation in the financial workspace to handle high cardinalities of accounts (or account/category combinations) more efficiently, improving performance in the presence of thousands of accounts. It is particularly effective on Hana Db.
Formulas
Run: run only the Excel formulas present in the "Allowed excel formulas" list (Only for Excel formulas) Enables execution only for formulas contained in the allowed Excel formulas list.
Save: run only the Excel formulas present in the "Allowed excel formulas" list (Only for Excel formulas) Enables saving only for formulas contained in the allowed Excel formulas list.
Use Subtotals by the Parent items in the Analytical FSTs Specifies if the formulas set on the Parent items are subtotals.
Use the SUBTOTAL aggregation function to resolve dynamic formulas If a user has mistakenly entered a formula in a matrix reporting a dynamic row/column, without specifying it as an argument to an aggregation function, the system automatically replaces it with a SUM function. By enabling this option, the SUBTOTAL aggregation function is used instead.
Comments
Automatically display comments in reports data entry Enables the display of comments on cells in data entry. Even if disabled, for matrices that have a check for the presence of attachments on a cell of comments type (HasAttachment), comments and attachments present will be displayed in any case (see Contains Attachments in Validation Window)
Automatically display comments in reports navigation Enables the display of comments on cells in navigation.
Display data entry comments in reports navigation. Enables the display in navigation of comments on cells entered in data entry.
Performance
Maximum number of elements that can be dynamically generated Defines the maximum number of elements to be displayed in the navigation bar for each prompt filter. When the limit is reached: - a message appears - the toolbar is deactivated for the dimension on which the limit was reached The user can then only open the prompt filter window and relaunch the form.
Maximum number of rows for the queries from Report Defines the maximum number of rows returned by a query set by the user. When the limit of rows is reached, the system displays the maximum number of rows allowed and informs the user about the partial display of the results. 0 = no limit.
Db query
Disable lock when reading values Allows you to enable or disable the locks at database level when reading values. If disabled, the read lock makes the form launch faster. However, it increases the probability of reading incorrect data if other users are editing the same portion of data.
Elements to run concurrently Defines which elements to run in parallel: - Templates + Queries - Templates + Matrices - Templates + Matrices + Queries - Templates
Reporting engine Defines the reporting engine to be used by default: - Standard - In memory
Database Hints Enables the use of hints on queries made by the system during form execution. - Enable - Enable calculation on data: the use of hints, i.e. the optimisation of the form execution is based on the data of the database tables associated with the form only. - Disable - Automatic: the system automatically activates/deactivates the use of hints
Form query timeout Defines after how many seconds any query run while processing an excel form must be aborted. Note: This setting is only applied if Query 1 (Repository > General Settings > Security) has a value other than 0. In this case, the lesser value between query 1 and query timeout form is taken into account.
Custom attributes
Custom attribute 1 ... 5 Allows you to define custom attributes for labelling each form.

Collaborative Office tab Detail

Element Description
Locked Collaborative Office documents timeout (min) Indicates after how many minutes a 'locked' document is automatically unlocked by the system
Collaborative office: Attachments automatic formula calculation Indicates whether to automatically calculate the formulas of an Excel attachment to the document when a value of a cell on which the formulas depend is changed
Excel language Indicates the language to be used to choose the date/time format when updating the server-side document. By selecting the "From document" option, the language defined in the document properties will be used as Excel language Date formats starting with an asterisk (*) change when the selectedExcel language changes . Formats without an asterisk remain unchanged.
Image Settings Allows you to set the format to be used for image objects in documents. You can choose between: - EMF. This is a vector graphics format. This format is independent of resolution, in fact it can be enlarged infinitely without loss of quality and definition. Objects can be scaled without loss of quality or definition. Even if the image is large, the file weight is still small; JPG or PNG. These are bitmap (raster) compression formats. The difference between the two files is that the former does not support lossless compression, the latter does. Raster images have their own size and resolution, so when enlarged beyond their original size, they suffer loss of detail and appear grainy. The main advantage of a raster image, however, is that thanks to its millions of pixels, it can represent a variety of details. So if there is a need to handle images with different tones, shades, effects and colour blends, it is best to work with raster images. If, on the other hand, the image to be used is more like a drawing or illustration, it is recommended to use a vector image format. This setting is only valid if the image update is performed using the server engine.
iXBRL
Service provider List six 'Sevice providers' to be used for iXBRL tagging.
Excel file signature
These settings are only enabled if the system property 'en.grupposervizi.easy.certificateSignature.enabled' has been set to 'true' and are used to sign the Excel export of Collaborative Office Word documents with a certificate.
Certificate endpoint Specifies the external source from which to get the latest version of the files. It is possible to choose from external sources configured in the Repository.
Certificate file name Indicates the name of the file containing the certificate
Certificate password Indicates the private key password required to load the certificate

Report Bursting tab detail

Element Description
Send even if not all reports in the step have been successfully generated - It means that the reports defined for a step must be distributed even when not all have been generated correctly

DTP tab detail

Element Description
Block the execution in parallel of DTP on the same node of the application server Disables the execution of multiple DTPs on the same application server.
Context-independent launch from form: Disable concurrency check Only in the case where a DTP is launched from Form and the launch is context-independent, when the checkbox is selected the concurrency check relating to the reporting layer update is disabled. There may be inconsistencies in the data in the case of concurrent launches on the same set of data.
