Reports & Analysis
The 'Reports & Analysis' page shows the 'Custom Reports', 'System Reports' and 'Reporting Tools' sections.
In particular, the 'Custom Reports' section can be populated by users entering their favourite reports. On first access, the section will be empty and a message will pop up telling the users that they can browse and add reports to the section.
IMPORTANT: The sections listed above are displayed according to user rights and customised by the user.
Custom Reports¶
At the top left of the page is the 'Custom Reports' section where a maximum of 10 custom reports added as favourites by the user are displayed. When used for the first time, the section is empty and a message tells the users that they can navigate through the section and add reports to it.
If the user has bookmarked certain reports, these are displayed as tiles on the main report page. In the event that the user has not added 10 customised favourite reports, the remaining space is filled with recent reports that are kept within the user session. From the tile you can open the report as a 'web form' or download it as an excel file. The two icons are displayed based on the user rights.
At the top right of the 'Custom Reports' section is the 'Browse All' button, which provides access to the detail page consisting of two sections: on the left is the custom reports tree, and on the right is an icon that tells the user to select a report and where the report is displayed once it has been opened. The report can be opened full-page and then restored to its original state. At the top of the page on the left-hand side there is a 'Back' button that allows you to return to the main 'Reports' page.
In the top left-hand section there is a pop-up menu that allows you to switch from one detail page to another. Underneath is a search field. The search can be performed by entering at least 3 characters and is performed on both the description and the report code.
Below the search field is the report section 'Favorites', which contains the list of reports that the user has selected as favourites; if the user has not selected any reports, the section is empty. The list of 'Favorites' reports is sorted in descending order based on the time of entry. The same sorting is then displayed in the main page tile.
Below this is the 'All Reports' section, which contains the custom reports tree the user can access. The tree can be expanded up to lowest level element level. The report can be opened as a web form by clicking on the name of the report itself and by hovering the cursor over the name of a report on the right-hand side an 'excel' icon appears, depending on user rights, indicating that the report can be downloaded as an excel file, while on the left-hand side a star appears and by clicking on it the report is added as a bookmark and placed in the 'Favorites' reports section. The bookmark on a report can be removed either from the 'Favorites' section or from the tree.
Reporting Tools¶
At the top right of the page is the 'Reporting Tools' section where links to the 'SmartInsight', 'Ad-hoc Analysis', 'Report List' and 'Report Bursting' pages are provided. Clicking on one of the boxes takes you to the detail page.
System Reports¶
At the bottom right of the page is the 'System Reports' section, where you can see a list of 12 system reports. By clicking on the name of a report, the report is opened on the detail page, which consists of two sections: on the left-hand side the list of system reports and on the right-hand side an icon that tells the user to select a report and where the report is displayed once it has been opened. The report can be opened full-page and then returned to the previous state using the the button at the top right.
In the top left-hand corner there is a 'Back' button that allows the user to return to the main 'Reports' page, and in the top left-hand section there is a pop-up menu for switching between detail pages.
On system reports it is possible to add or remove a bookmark and this can be done either from the 'System Reports' section of the main report page or from the tree on the system report detail page.
