How to create a financial statement template

Sequence of procedures to create a financial statement template

  1. Create the header of a financial statement template

  2. Click . A new header will appear.

  3. In the Attributes tab, insert a code and a description for the header of the FST.
  4. In the Dimensionality section, select the type of element to relate to the financial statement template (filtered by accounts and/or custom dimensions and/or control type) and, if desired, enable Multiple relationships.
  5. In the Advanced section, select the desired options for the use of the FST, for sign change management on FST items and for the supported types of formula.
  6. In the Valid accounts section, define the types of accounts that can be related to the financial statement template.
  7. Click Save.

  8. Create FST items

Dimensions tile > Account tile > > FST & KPI > > FST Items

  1. Click . A new FST item will appear.
  2. In the Attributes tab, insert a code and a description for FST item.
  3. In Item type, select the desired type of FST item.
  4. In Class, select the FST item class.
  5. In Formatting type, select the level of formatting for the desired Tagetik style.
  6. Click Save.

  7. Relate accounts, custom dimensions and control types to FST items

Dimensions tile > Account tile > > FST & KPI > > FST Items > Relationships

This procedure allows you to create relationships, provided elements that can be related to the form exist.

IMPORTANT: the order in which relationships are specified in FST items determines the final content of the FST item.

  1. In the Attributes tab, select the desired action for the account.
  2. In Account, select the desired account or node of accounts.
  3. In FST item, select the desired FST item.
  4. If present, select the desired custom dimension and/or control type.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Run the procedure for all the desired relationships.
  7. Click Deployment.
