Create a predefined filter in a matrix

This procedure shows you how to create a predefined filter based on a combination of filters set on rows of the matrix, but it is also valid if done on the basis of filters set on columns.

  1. Click next to the local row filters tree: the Predefined filters window will open.
  2. Insert a code for the new predefined filter and a description for every language supported by the system.
  3. Click OK.

Saved predefined filters are visible in the Filters node of the Matrix Wizard dimensions tree.

Note: in local filter trees, the predefined filter is identified with the icon if it is dynamic or the icon if it is static.

Update a predefined filter

Modify the structure of the filter as desired and click .

Edit the description of the predefined filter

  1. In the dimensions tree, select Filters, right click the desired predefined filter and select Edit header.
  2. Edit one or more descriptions as desired.
  3. Click OK.

Delete a predefined filter

In the dimensions tree, select Filters, right click the desired predefined filter and select Delete.

IMPORTANT: when the predefined filter is deleted, the system does not check whether it is used in one or several forms.

Insert a predefined filter dynamically

  1. Open the matrix (see How to access the windows).
  2. Select Dynamic at the top-left.
  3. Insert the predefined filter as a row/column filter or a matrix filter.

Note: in filter trees, the predefined filter is identified with the icon.
