Introduction

Processes with dimension by step can be used to associate the various steps of the process with various organisations of CCH Tagetik dimensions. You can, for example, associate different organisations with the steps of data collection and partially or fully manage entity processes on the Analytical Workspace.

Operational budgets: processes fully on the Analytical Workspace

For this budget type, sales data collection is managed by Sales Manager, while overheads are managed by cost centre. Thus, it is useful to develop the process by managing the steps for two distinct dimensions: Sales and Cost Centres, working on the Analytical Workspace

Budget consolidation: processes on the Analytical and Financial Workspaces

In this case it is useful to develop the process partially on the Analytical Workspace, for data collection, and partially on the Financial Workspace, for consolidation.

Instead, monthly closings, statutory consolidation and the financial budget by Entity are more suited to processes linked only to the Entity dimension, which is managed fully on the Financial Workspace.

Management of dependencies

For processes with dimension by step, you must define the policies used to check the submission/rejection of nodes and lowest level elements of the hierarchy, based on the status of the previous and subsequent steps.

The hierarchy defined by the dimensions reflects the approval and data entry workflow used in the process.
