Export the fields of a dataset

Application database > Analytical Workspaces tile > workspace tile > (Dataset tab) dataset tile

Navbar > Analytic Information Hub > workspaces tile > (Dataset tab) dataset tile

  1. (Optional) To change a sub-set of elements of the table, click and set the filters on the data to be exported.
  2. Click . The files will be exported in an XLSX file.

Note: after the export, remove the filter to display all the dataset data again.

Export the field relationships of an operation

Click , the system will download an XLSX file called abbinamenti_campi_DD_MM_YYYY_hh.mm.ss with the following characteristics:

  • The columns show both the source dataset fields and the target dataset fields, matched, and the specific properties of the operation being exported.
  • In the presence of Insert from another dataset or Insert with reference dataset operations, any special values on the dataset target fields are indicated by the letters N (Relate remaining fields automatically) and (F (Apply formula to the remaining fields).
  • Actions to edit, delete or add new relationships can be performed on the downloaded file, by completing the visible fields for a subsequent import.

"This procedure explains how to import a field mapping file for an operation, after optionally modifying it by editing, deleting, or adding a new field mapping, and filling in all visible fields.

It is not possible to export fields mapping related to one operation and import it into the fields mapping related to another operation.

If the dataset contains Insert from another dataset operations. In the presence of Insert from another dataset or Insert with reference dataset operations, any special values on the dataset target fields can be defined with the letters N (Relate remaining fields automatically) and (F (Apply formula to the remaining fields).

IMPORTANT: after the relationships have been exported, it is not possible to make any changes to be applied to the table before running the import.

By default, it is not possible to import a file with field relationships related to an operation in a view related to another operation.

To do this, you must:

  1. Export the fields mapping XLSX file from which to copy the data (source) and the fields mapping file of the operation onto which the data are to be copied (target).
  2. Select the source file cells and copy them onto the target file, excluding the row IDs.
  3. Import the target file into the relevant fields mapping page in the target operations.

Export workspace setup

This procedure allows you to export a workspace's setup using a dedicated functionality.

  1. Select the workspaces from which to export data: all the data partitions associated with all the selected Analytical Workspace datasets will be displayed.
  2. Select the configurations to be exported.
  3. Select the desired datasets.

  4. To delete the exported partitions from the source Workspace, select Delete partitions after export.

  5. Click Run to export immediately, or Schedule to schedule the operation.

Import workspace setup

This procedure allows you to import a workspace setup saved previously in specific files, using a dedicated functionality.

  1. Select the source of the files.
  2. Click Select files to import and then select the desired files.
  3. Click Run to import it immediately, or Schedule to schedule the operation.

Export the DTP configuration

This procedure allows you to export the setup of one or several DTPs onto files, using a dedicated functionality. The relative Analytical Workspaces and Datasets must be online.

Select the DTPs the configurations of which you want to export, then click Run.

Import the DTP configuration

This procedure allows you to import the setup of one or several DTPs previously saved in specific files, using a dedicated functionality.

IMPORTANT: the DTPs contained in the file to be imported must belong to the same Analytical Workspace into which they will be imported. It is not possible to manually create a DTP in the target environment and then import a file containing a DTP with the same code.

  1. Select the source of the files.
  2. Click Select files to import and then select the desired files.
  3. Click Run to import it immediately, or Schedule to schedule the operation.

Note: In case the file source is Application Server or Endpoint, the dynamic syntax can be used for the filename parameter: Multi File Syntax. In this case, since the files to be processed are AWEX archives, the syntax will not evaluate the contents of the ZIP/AWEX archives, but only the files themselves as entities.
