Open a matrix to edit it

Excel > CCH® Tagetik > Design > select form > double click the cell of the matrix in the work desktop

Create a copy of a matrix

This procedure describes how to create a matrix with attributes similar to those of an existing matrix, by creating a copy of the existing matrix. A matrix can also be copied to several templates or forms. After a matrix has been created, it can be edited.

  1. In the left-hand panel, select the matrix to be copied, then click .
  2. In the work desktop, select the development cell of the new matrix and click .
  3. Enter the name of the new matrix.
  4. Click OK.

In Excel, it is possible to create links to existing matrices in other forms or another template of the same form.

  1. Click .
  2. In the work desktop, select the development cell of the new matrix.
  3. Click .
  4. Enter the name of the matrix called up.

Note: the matrix recalled via the link cannot be opened in design mode or edited. To edit that matrix, the source matrix must be edited.

Change the position of a matrix

  1. Select the desired matrix. In the work desktop, the system shows the matrix in a box.
  2. Position the cursor on one of the box borders and, when it becomes , drag the matrix to the desired position.

Delete a matrix

There are several ways to delete matrices.

Excel > CCH® Tagetik > Design > select form > right click a cell of a matrix on the work desktop > Tagetik > Delete matrix

Excel > CCH® Tagetik > Open items > select matrix > right click > Matrices > Delete matrix

Excel > CCH® Tagetik > Open items > select matrix >

Note: deleting a matrix recalled via a link will not delete the source matrix. However, when the source matrix is deleted, the recalled matrix will also be deleted and marked as . The form containing it becomes invalid.
