Data processing via hyperlinks in web forms

Specific behaviours when running data processing

In the data entry step, data processing (DTP, Stored Procedures, Submission Processes, etc.) can be run on web forms via a hyperlink created in the design step (see Hyperlinks).

If several data processes are associated with a hyperlink, the following rules will apply:

• The data processes will be run in the order in which they were associated with the hyperlink.
• If the one data process fails while a data processing sequence is being run, the system will show the details of the error extracted from the audit and locks the current and remaining data processes.
• When the Force refresh option is active on a data process, the form will be updated automatically upon completion. If the option is active on several data processes associated with the hyperlink, the form will be updated upon completion of the last data process.

Specific behaviours when running Datasource Mapping

In the data entry step, the Datasource mapping process can be run from web forms via hyperlinks, even when this requires a source file containing the data to be loaded (see Quick Data Loader - Datasource mapping page). In this case, when the user clicks the hyperlink, the system shows the source file selection window and enables the run data processing button when a file is selected.

Note: in the presence of a Datasource Mapping process, it is not possible to associate other data processing with the hyperlink.
