Purpose of the page

This page allows you to manage comments and attach documents in an editable cell of a web form.

Note: when working on Analytical Workspace line-by-line matrices, several documents can be attached to the same comment. If there are several attachments, the system displays the same description. For matrices created on the Financial Workspace and for Multidimensional matrices, however, only one document can be attached to each comment.

To be able to use comments on transactional matrices, the user must have inserted a Comments and Attachments type field in the dataset and in the reference matrix on which they intend to work with comments.

IMPORTANT: the web form must be saved for an insertion or change to be saved, and therefore visible to other users.

It is also possible to download all comments and attachments to the matrix in a single zipped file from this page. The file has the following characteristics:

• Comments belong to the dataset on which a matrix is built and are filtered via the dimensions used in the form filters.
• If the form contains just one matrix, the file name is the concatenation of the template identifier and the name of the matrix.
• If the form contains more than one matrix, the name of the downloaded file contains the report code. It therefore contains as many zipped files as there are AIH-type matrices present in the form itself.

Note: this function is only available for Line by Line matrices and multidimensional matrices of the Analytical Workspace. If a form also contains Financial Workspace matrices, the relative comments and attachments will not be downloaded.

Comment management buttons

	Creates a new comment.
	Edits a comment. Only available for the user who added the comment, or authorised users (Reporting-Data Entry-Comments-Administrator, code 0003862). Disabled for users with $DEREPORT role.
	Allows you to download all comments and attachments to the matrix. Only available for users for whom function 0004152 is enabled.
	Deletes a comment. Only available for the user who added the comment, or authorised users (Reporting-Data Entry-Comments-Administrator, code 0003862). Disabled for users with $DEREPORT role.
	Saves a comment.

Comment	Area in which to type the comment.
User	Area identifying the author of the comment.
Date	Date on which comment was inserted.
Attachment
File	Allows you to select any files to be attached from the file system.
Description	Allows you to insert a description for the attachment, which will later be available when you move the cursor over the cell.
Attachment	Enables the insertion of an attachment.
Insert attachment	Loads the attachment.
