Exporting and Importing a Document
Exporting a Tagetik document
This procedure allows a document to be exported in one of the following ways:
- Browsing through the library
- Exporting and Importing a Document
Export by browsing through the library
Word Add-in > CCH® Tagetik Disclosure ribbon bar > File > Open >
- Click Open: the Library tab opens
- Select a document root
- Click on Structure in the bottom right-hand corner
- Click on the three dots for the document to be exported (root or doc part) in the tab
- Select the Export option
- The system displays the Export - select folder mode
- Select the path where the .zip file will be saved
- Click the Export enabled button at the bottom right
- The system launches the data processing, confirming the end of execution with a message "Export was run successfully".
- The file saved on Sharepoint with the format nomedocument_hour.zip contains the linked children if present and all objects
Exporting and Importing a Document
Word Add-in > CCH® Tagetik Disclosure ribbon bar > Document Management > Structure
- Open a root document from the Library: ribbon bar > File > Open > double-click on document x
- Click on Structure: the Document Structure panel opens - document x
- Click on the three dots for the document to be exported (root or doc part) in the tab
- Select the Export option
- The system displays the Export - select folder mode
- Select the path where the .zip file will be saved
- Click the Export enabled button at the bottom right
- The system launches the data processing, confirming the end of execution with a message "Export was run successfully".
- The file saved on Sharepoint with the format nomedocument_hour.zip contains the linked children if present and all objects
Note If the user launches the operation several times, the system does not limit the executions because each export data processing generates a file with a different time.
Importing from the Open Document Structure
Word Add-in > CCH® Tagetik Disclosure ribbon bar > Import >
- Select the Import button
- The system displays the Import - select package mode
- Select the path where the file with the extension documentname_hour_.zip was saved
- Click on the enabled Next button in the bottom right-hand corner
- Choose the path where you want to import the file (shared or folder)
- Click the Import button
- The system launches the data processing and confirms the execution is completed with the message "Import is completed".
- A folder with the name of the imported zip file will be created and saved in the selected path, which will also contain the children if present
Note if the same document with the extension .zip is imported more than once, the system displays in the Import - select a folder tab with a yellow background and a warning message "A folder with the same name as the package already exists - You can select another folder or rename the one you are about to create".
- Select the Rename button to switch to folder name change mode
- or select the Cancel button to cancel the path and choose an alternative one
- type a different name in the Folder Name field
- Click again on the Import button to restart the data processing
- or select the Previous button to return to the warning message
Note When a document is imported and it contains a Table or Chart object with Microsoft Excel source, the system determines the new path where the objects are present e.g. New folder/Table or Chart.xlsx
