Working on a presentation
When a presentation is created using the add-in, a .ppt file is created in the document library of the SharePoint site dedicated to the application. Once created, the presentation is opened in the app. The file that is created in the SharePoint directory specified during creation can be opened in both the desktop and web versions of PowerPoint.
Creating a presentation¶
To create a presentation using Intelligent Disclosure, just click on New in the File section of the Ribbon Bar of the add-in after logging in. After that, a panel will open with a form to be filled in to create a new presentation. You can create a presentation from scratch or convert an existing one stored on SharePoint. In the first case, click the “From scratch” button. In the second case, click the “SharePoint” button, select a presentation created with native PowerPoint, and complete the form as you would for a presentation created from scratch.
Due to current SharePoint limitations, presentations created by converting native presentations do not support files with a total size exceeding 30 MB, including any templates.
Defining the general information of a presentation¶
CCH Tagetik Ribbon Bar > File > New > From Scratch
1.In the first step, enter the following general information: Document Name*, Additional Information, Target*, Document Language*. 2.In the second step, you can add Dimensions (Period, Entity, Scenario, etc.) retrieved from the available Databases. 3. In the last step, you can choose a template available on CPM, enter formatting options for decimal numbers, percentages and image formats.
Once these steps are completed, the presentation will be created. If successful, it will be displayed in a new window. Otherwise, an error message will be displayed.
Part of this information can be changed in the Settings section of the ribbon bar, as follows:

- Additional Information and the document language can be edited the General tab of the panel.
- In the Dimensions tab, you can add additional dimensions or remove those that were selected during document creation.

To convert a presentation from a .pptx file stored on SharePoint and created natively in PowerPoint, click the “SharePoint” button after clicking “New” in the File section of the ribbon. Next, in the displayed folders list, identify and select the desired file. The next steps are the same as those described above.
