Purpose of window

It allows you to set filters to run diagnostic data processing on original scenarios/periods and on entities and contributor nodes of the selected process.

Fields in window

Depending on the selected checks, some options can be disabled.

Element Description
Filters
Original scenarios/periods For scenario/period submission processes, it contains the scenario/period selected on accessing the cockpit. Not editable. For single submission processes, it contains the last significant scenario/period of the process. Editable. The diagnostic can only be run on scenarios/periods that are not stored off-line and are visible to the user.
Entities Contains the entities selected in the cockpit. Not editable. The diagnostic can only be run on entities that meet the following requirements: - they must belong to the process and at least one of the selected scenarios/periods - they cannot be only counterparty or only consolidator - they must be visible to the user
Contributor nodes Contains the contributor nodes selected in the cockpit. Not editable. The diagnostic can only be run on nodes that meet the following requirements: - they must belong to the selected process - they must be to be submitted in the data collection process - they must be visible to the user
Advanced filters
Steps - All (default): the diagnostic is run on all steps of the business workflow associated with the process. - Up to: the diagnostic is run on the selected steps and all preceding steps. - Selected: the diagnostic is run on the selected steps. The diagnostic is only run on contributor and mixed steps.
Control groups You can only select control groups which meet the following requirements: - they must belong to the process and the selected steps - they must be set in the table as to be diagnosed on the gross, intercompany or net data If no filter is set, all the control groups which meet the above conditions will be subject to the diagnostic. Any filter that is set will only act on the gross, IC and net control group diagnostic.
Categories The diagnostic can only be run on categories that meet the following requirements: - they must belong to the selected process - they cannot be children of other categories - they must be visible to the user If not set, the diagnostic will be run on all the categories which meet the above conditions. The diagnostic is only run on the contributor categories. The filter is applied to all checks, except for IC matching, authorised blocking errors and plausibility.
Category nodes You can only select category nodes used in defining the process’s validation rules with “by node” granularity. If not set, the diagnostic will be run on all the category nodes which meet the above conditions. The diagnostic is only run on the category nodes containing only contributor categories. For every node, the categories are considered up to the last level, provided they belong to the process and are visible to the user. The filter is applied to all checks, except for IC matching, authorised blocking errors and plausibility.
Forms You can only select forms which meet the following requirements: - they must belong to the process and the selected steps - they must be standard forms The filter is applied to all checks, except for IC matching, authorised blocking errors, journal submission and plausibility. If set, they have the following impacts: - The control groups diagnostic will only analyse control groups associated with the selected process. - The gross sign, IC sign, IC capacity, FX rate and mandatory notes diagnostic will only analyse the accounts associated with the selected forms. If not set, the diagnostic will be run on all the control groups and accounts, without taking account of whether or not they belong to the forms.
Plausibility logics Can only be set if the plausibility diagnostic is active on the process. You can only select the plausibility logics present in the execution plan of entities or contributor nodes for the selected process. If not set, the diagnostic will be run on all the plausibility logics which satisfy the above condition. The filter is only applied to the plausibility diagnostic.
Errors threshold - None (default): the diagnostic does not apply threshold filters. - Above the Balancing threshold: the diagnostic only reports unbalanced amounts above the balancing threshold set in the process’s validation rules. - Above the Submission threshold: the diagnostic only reports unbalanced amounts above the submission threshold set in the process’s validation rules. - Above the specified threshold: customised threshold and currency. If the currency is specified, the threshold amount is understood to be expressed in that currency and for the comparison it must be converted to the currency of the entity to which it is applied. The FX rate used for the conversion is the final FX rate. The filter is only applied to the gross, IC and net control groups diagnostic and to the IC capacity diagnostic.
Threshold (Only if Errors threshold = Above the specified threshold) Indicates the value of the customised threshold.
Currency (Only if Errors threshold = Above the specified threshold) Indicates the currency to be applied to value of the customised threshold.
Severity Severity of unbalanced amount reported by the diagnostic. You can select one or several, but at least one must be selected. - Blocking: the entity data are not submitted. - Non-blocking: the entity data are submitted but errors are reported. - Only Diagnostic: the check is only run if explicitly requested by manually running the diagnostic from the Detail summary cockpit tabs (for the contributor). In this case it is possible to customise the filters before running the data processing. However, whenever diagnostics are run automatically (from the cockpit/from other data processing), the check is not performed.
Checks
Runs the selected check. At least one check must be selected.
Select all Selects all the listed checks.
Result Runs the filtered control groups diagnostic only on the control group used for checking the annual result. This control group is $BS_. Use the result account code that is set in the process’s calculation logics. Moreover, in the process’s validation rules, it is possible to specify the categories for which to show the result of this control group, including in the presence of balancing.
Gross control groups Runs the diagnostic on control groups which, in the table, require the Gross data check.
Gross sign Runs the gross sign diagnostic for accounts which, in the table, have a Standard sign check not equal to Any.
Net control groups Runs the diagnostic on control groups which, in the table, require the Net data check.
IC control groups Runs the diagnostic on control groups which, in the table, require the Intercompany data check.
IC sign Runs the IC sign diagnostic for accounts which, in the table, have IC sign check not equal to Do not check.
IC Capacity Runs the IC capacity diagnostic for accounts which, in the table, have IC Capacity check not equal to Do not check.
IC matching Runs the IC matching check for cockpits which, in the table, have IC matching for submission check not equal to None.
FX rate Runs the FX rates diagnostic for accounts which, in the table, have FX rates check not equal to Do not check.
Mandatory notes Runs the mandatory notes diagnostic for accounts which, in the table, have Notes check not equal to Do not check.
Authorized blocking errors Runs the authorised blocking errors diagnostic in the following cases: - In the process’s validation rules, Enable detected errors trace is not equal to Don’t manage. - In the process’s validation rules, Don't propagate the authorized blocking error information is not equal to None. - In the process’s submission rules, the Override submission - With authorization of blocking errors option is selected.
Plausibility checks Runs the plausibility diagnostic for entities for which an execution plan has been defined on the process. Only present if the plausibility diagnostic is active on the process.
Journals submission Runs the journal submission diagnostic in the following cases: - Journal submission has been enabled in the process’s Business Workflow mapping, or a task workflow has been specified for at least one entity. - In the process’s validation rules, Diagnose Manual journals submission and/or Diagnose Automatic journals submission is not equal to None.
Options
Show the code of the form on the error row For every error on the control group or account, shows the forms on which the control group accounts can be edited or the account itself. Note: “standard” forms are editable from the diagnostic result window via both Excel and web forms.
Also show balanced data If selected, the control groups and accounts diagnostic also shows data which balance, and not unbalanced amounts only. In this case, it is not possible to run the IC matching, authorised blocking errors, plausibility and journal submission diagnostic. Moreover, you cannot request that the log be updated. Option only available if function 0004099 (Processes - Cockpit - Diagnostic - Also show balanced data) is active in the user role.
Update log If selected, the content of the diagnostic reports log is updated at the end of the diagnostic. Option only available if, in the process’s validation rules, Enable detected errors trace is not equal to Don't manage.
