Diagnostic of journal submission

Check description

Journal submission is triggered on the process in the Business Workflow mapping and it is necessary to specify a journal submission workflow task for each entity (Entity or consolidator node) for which journals are to be submitted. See Business workflow concepts and Validation

Note: just as the submission of an Entity must be done prior to the submission of any contributor node to which it belongs, so the submission of a journal must be done prior to the submission of the parent entity to which it belongs.

This check does not involve the amounts moved by the journals, but merely verifies that the journals relating to the entities to be checked have all been submitted.

Failure to submit journals is reported with different severities for manual and automatic journals, as indicated in the process validation rules.

The check is performed only on the original scenarios and reports any unbalanced amounts on the step specified in the Business Workflow mapping of the process for the entity being diagnosed. For processes in which the process data model is defined by account/category, the errors due to failure to submit the journals are reported only on the steps managed for the category linked to the journal.

Validation and diagnostic rules

The following attributes are relevant for the execution of the diagnostic data processing:

Attribute Description
Validation
Diagnose Manual journals submission The journal submission diagnostic for manual journals is only performed on processes with a setting other than Do Not Run (See Validation Rules Page)
Diagnose Automatic journals submission The journal submission diagnostic for automatic journals is only performed on processes with a setting other than Do Not Run (See Validation Rules Page)

The check is based on the following logic:

If... Then...
Blocking the diagnostic is be run and any unsubmitted journals are reported with Blocking severity
Non blocking the diagnostic is be run and any unsubmitted journals are reported with Non-Blocking severity
Only Diagnostic the check is only run if explicitly requested by manually running the diagnostic from the Detail summary (for the contributor) or Overview (for the consolidator) cockpit tabs; in this case it is possible to customise the filters before running the data processing. However, whenever diagnostics are run automatically (from the cockpit/from other data processing), the check is not performed.
None the diagnostic is not performed.
