Working with IC Spreading
Introduction¶
The IC Spreading feature can be activated for processes on which you want to run Entity/Custom Dimension 2 matching, or those for which the Relationship Type is Entity/Custom Dimension 2. This is useful when you do not want to specify the counterparty custom dimension 2 in IC data entry.
This feature writes off the existing IC declarations and reallocates the amounts to CTP custom dimension 2 based on the declarations made by the counterparty, maintaining the original unbalanced amounts (see ).
IC Spreading can enabled by selecting the option Show override CTP Custom Dimension 2 type (see ) and is run from the Contributor cockpit (see ) by clicking on IC Spreading.
Working in the IC cockpit when IC Spreading is enabled¶
When IC spreading is enabled, if the IC cockpit is accessed with relationship type set to by Entity, the cockpit shows the data excluding rows whose origin is “IC Spreading”.
If, however, the IC cockpit is accessed with relationship type set to by Entity/Custom dimension 2, the cockpit only considers rows whose origin is “IC Spreading”, allowing you to see the data reallocated by the data processing.
