IC cockpit reports

Introduction

Various reports can be generated from the IC cockpit in order to check data and understand the reasons why IC declarations have not been related or balanced. The reports can be generated either on the contributor side or the consolidator side, based on the data that can be seen in the cockpit.

To generate this report, you must first run the relative data processing, which is only available under the following conditions:

  • the cockpit includes matching logics with 'Invoice matching' option enabled (see IC Matching and Elimination Logics)

-the Enable additional fields on IC option in the process rules is not set to 'No' (see Amount & Intercompany rules in the Data Entry module)

IC matching cockpit report

This report displays the intercompany rows that contribute to the result shown in the IC cockpit. In this report, you can highlight the result by relationship and view additional information (notes and information for each document).

This report shows the following information:

  • intercompany data
  • the reconciliation accounts inserted to balance those data
  • the FX rate differences resulting from the conversion of data to the currency used to view them in the cockpit.

The amounts and any subtotals displayed in the report are converted into the cockpit currency and shown as follows:

If... Then...
the Show P&L on periodic data option is selected on opening the cockpit. the amounts are shown considering the periodic (monthly) value rather than the cumulated value. Note: this option only has an impact on matching logics with a Profit & Loss or Other Variations accounts filter.
matching logics at the period average FX rate are present in the cockpit. for those logics, the amounts are shown with a different FX rate applied for every period of the year.

Particular cases for single submission processes

For single submission processes, if you choose to export all scenarios/periods, for logics at the period average FX rate or in case of periodic display, the data of every scenario/period are calculated taking account of the period length of the individual scenario/period. If the IC cockpit has been opened with scenarios/periods displayed in columns, there may be different data from the data generated by the report because, in the IC cockpit, the data of every scenario/period are shown considering the period length of the last significant scenario/period of the process.

IC matching cockpit report by custom dimension

This report displays the intercompany rows that contribute to the result shown in the IC cockpit, highlighting the results by custom dimension.

To run the report, you must indicate the custom dimensions for which you want to view the subtotals. You can also ask to view only unbalanced relationships by custom dimension.

If the IC cockpit is opened with relationship type set to “by entity/custom dimension 2”, you cannot highlight the result for custom dimension 2, since the relationships are identified by entity/custom dimension 2 - CTP entity/CTP custom dimension 2, and therefore the highlighting of custom dimension 2 is already implicit.

This report shows the following information:

  • intercompany data
  • the reconciliation accounts inserted to balance those data
  • the FX rate differences resulting from the conversion of data to the currency used to view them in the cockpit.

The data are grouped according to the chosen custom dimensions.

FX rate differences detail report

This report allows you to check the data and understand the reasons why IC declarations have not been related. To generate this report, you must first run the relative data processing, which is only available under the following conditions:

Manual reconciliation accounts detail report

This report shows the reconciliation accounts inserted to balance the intercompany data present in the IC cockpit which require the consolidator’s approval in the account submission step. These are the reconciliation accounts above the threshold specified in the IC matching logic.

Report on IC set notes

This report shows the notes inserted on the “IC sets” (IC relationship/matching logic) shown in the intercompany cockpit.

Report on IC data notes

This report shows the notes linked to the intercompany data used for the IC cockpit calculation.

Invoice matching report

This report allows you to check the data and understand the reasons why IC declarations have not been related. To generate this report, you must first run the relevant data processing (see IC matching by invoice).

This report contains the following information:

• matched IC declarations

• unrelated IC declarations

You can decide whether to view only related IC declarations that are balanced, or only those which are unbalanced.
