Payment Calendar
In the context of financial planning, Tagetik allows the user to define a calendar or define the precise day on which a payment or collection must be recognised regardless of that which is calculated automatically by the system.
The management of one or several calendars requires the definition of the payment calendar. This function allows different versions of calendars to be created; for example, we can have the 2013 calendar and the 2014 calendar, and different collection/payment dates within each calendar.
The management of payment calendars can be accessed from the administrator-user’s web interface, following the path Setup & Admin > Data processing > Cash Flow Planning > Advanced financial rules > Payment calendar.
Navigation panel> Data processing > Cash Flow Planning > Advanced financial rules > Payment calendar.
Every calendar is identified by:
- a code;
- a description.
Once a payment calendar has been defined, it is necessary to tell the system:
- the process / entity to which it must be related;
- a time period (Date from - Date to). This time period makes it possible to identify collections / payments that must be shifted to the “Payment date”
- a payment date, or the day on which the collection or the payment of everything that, based on the data processing, should have been collected /paid in the specified period, must be recognised
This relationship can be managed from the end user’s web interface via the processes cockpit. To open the processes cockpit it is necessary to click on the “Processes” button (available on the end user’s home page and the left-hand panel) and then click on the desired cockpit.
Once the system has opened the selected cockpit, it is necessary to:
- select one of the phases of the process at the top of the screen
- select one of the entities over which the user has editability rights
- to click on the Financial Planning button and select the Calendar option. The system opens the “Calendar” view.
