Data operation

Tagetik offers the user several utilities which make it possible to perform various inter-entity copy operations between processes or scenarios.

These utilities can be accessed from the administrator-user’s web interface, following the path User > Home page > Processes > Utilities > Copy CFP data and overrides. Navbar > Processes & Workflows > Process > > Utilities > Copy CFP data and overrides

Main data

The “Main data” utility allows the user to copy the definitions of weights, calendars and objects from one process/entity to another process/entity.

The user must indicate:

  • the data that must be copied, selecting one or several of the following options:
  • weight
  • payment calendar
  • accounting entry
  • L/T financing
  • assets

  • FX hedging

  • the source process and the target process

  • the source entity and the target entity, i.e. the entity from which to copy and the entity to which to copy, respectively. If the data must be copied to the same entity or if there is more than one entity from which to copy, the target entity filter must not be defined. Doing this tells the system to perform the copy from a company to itself.

The first copy deletes the data from the process to which to copy, and then enters the data on the process to which to copy, reading it from the process from which to copy.

The origin of the copied data is “INPUT_WEB”.

Copy overrides and events

The “Copy overrides and events” allows the user to copy attribute overrides and the balance sheet cash schedule from one process/entity to another process/entity, and the overriding of attributes, accounts, event creation rules and P&L account events and projected variations from one scenario/entity to another scenario/entity.

The user must indicate:

  • the source process and the target process. For the P&L and projected variations, the source scenario and the target scenario; in both cases this is an active original scenario, visible to the user.
  • the source entity and the target entity, i.e. the entity from which to copy and the entity to which to copy, respectively. If the data must be copied to the same entity or if there is more than one entity from which to copy, the target entity filter must not be defined. Doing this tells the system to perform the copy from a company to itself.

It is possible to filter the copying of each data type based on the dimensions managed (cost centre, product, etc.).
