Purpose of window

This window allows you to create a workspace based on an existing workspace, by duplicating the setup and potentially the mapping of datasets, forms and data.

The generated workspace is visible to users for whom the source workspace is visible.

The cloning of a workspace is subject to the following restrictions:

  • If the user running the operation has restrictions with regard to Analytical Workspaces, the cloned workspace is automatically included among those available to them.
  • During cloning, the report lists are not recoded (see ). A form deriving from the cloning of a workspace, when open in design mode, continues to use, in the form, the description for some elements deriving from the source workspace. To change it, the user must reopen the form in design mode and save its structure again.
  • Comments related to Line-By-Line matrices are not processed and are not available for the operation.

Fields in window

Element Description
Code Code of the new workspace.
Description Description of the new workspace. If several supported languages are enabled, at least one description is mandatory.
Form If active, this includes forms belonging to the default node related to the source workspace in the duplication. If one of the forms contains a transactional matrix with filters on the measures that operates on a source workspace dataset, the cloned form inherits the same filters. However, filters on measures associated with dictionary parameters are not cloned. See and Dictionaries. Note: data processing that can be run on saving the form and data processing related to mapping with references to the source Analytical Workspace are copied with the definition of the Datasource and Financial workspace mapping parameters.
List of source workspace partitions Shows a list of source workspace partitions and allows you to select the ones to be duplicated.

Buttons in the window

Element Description
Run Enabled when a code and a description are inserted. Runs the data processing. At the end of the data processing, the system shows the created workspace and an audit window with the results of the data processing.
