MDM procedures
Create a routine
Repository > Master Data Management > Routines > Elements
- Click
: a new row will appear in the table. - In the Attributes tab, set the parameters as desired.
- To assign the routine to a node, in the Relationships tab, select the desired node.
- Click Save.
Define the content of a routine
Repository > Master Data Management > Routines > Elements > Details
- Click
: a new row will appear in the table. - In the Attributes tab, set the parameters as desired.
- Click Save.
Manage routine groupings
Repository > Master Data Management > Routines > Grouping
- Click
to create a new element and on
for a new node. - In Attributes and Relationships, set the desired parameters to define the grouping logics.
- Click Save.
Export data
This procedure makes it possible to export data manually into a file, via a routine defined previously.
Repository > Master Data Management > Execution > Export
- Select the routine to be used to export the data.
- Click Run.
Import data
This procedure makes it possible to import data manually, via a routine, from a previously-exported file.
Repository > Master Data Management > Execution > Import
- Select the routine to be used to import the data.
- To report any errors found in real time or to stop the routine if necessary, select Manage errors.
- To synchronise without checking the changes again, select Apply routines without checking.
Note: after synchronisation, it will not be possible to restore the previous situation.
Note: if the selected routines include at least one routine with the option Run only in steps selected, the Apply routines without checking option is disabled. 4. Click Run: the changes will appear.
Schedule data imports
Repository > Master Data Management > Execution > Import
- Select the desired routine and options.
- Click Schedule.
- For File to DB routines, consider the following:
| If the File location is ... | Then... |
| Client | the process cannot be scheduled. |
| Application server | in File name indicate the name of the file of interest. |
| Endpoint/Tagetik agent | In Endpoint and File name indicate the endpoint and the name of the file of interest, respectively. |
Note: From database to database routines can be scheduled without restriction.
Schedule data exports
Repository > Master Data Management > Execution > Export
- Select the desired routine.
- Click Schedule.
Manage exported files
Repository > Master Data Management > Exported files management
- Select the desired routine.
- To work on routines created by other users, select Show export files of all users.
- Download or delete the desired file.
