Purpose of window

This window allows you to configure the data processing to be run from form when launching it from a process with dimension by step, in the case where the step is on a custom/analytic dimension.

Elements of the data processing selection step (⅕)

Element Description
Data Transformation Data processes running the Data Transformation Package of a single Analytical workspace. Applicable on all Analytical workspaces in the environment which have at least one associated DTP.

Options in the parameters configuration step (⅖)

This step displays the parameters available for the data processing selected in the first step. Those shown in bold are mandatory.

Note: if the data processing selected during the first step is Data Transformation, the mandatory DTP field will appear with the DTPs of the Analytical Workspaces chosen in that step.

Note data processing performed on processes for analytical/custom dimensions requires enabling the 'context-independent run' parameter

The configuration options for each parameter are detailed below.

Option Description
Automatically Only for dimensional parameters The system retrieves the value from any input parameters in the form, the global filter, the tab filter (tab active at launch) and the matrix filter (the latter only if there is only one matrix in the sheet). The value returned will be the same as that returned by the cell field on the flat dimension of the parameter. For example, if the parameter is of Entity type, then the value will be equal to that taken through the $Entity cell field. See the cell field definition mode below for further understanding
Excel Cell The system retrieves the value of the parameter from the desired Excel cell of the current sheet, specified with the syntax cell H30.
Insert Allows the user to enter the parameter value.
Select Allows the user to select the value of the parameter from a list of possible values.
Cell field The system retrieves the value of the parameter from a cell field. If this option is used for a dimensional parameter, it is preferable to type in an expression that, when defined, returns a node or leaf, not its code or description. For example, for an entity-type parameter, the expression $Entity must be used, not $Entity.code. The cell field is resolved by taking into account the form input parameters, the global filter, the tab filter (tab active at launch) and the matrix filter (the latter only if there is only one matrix in the sheet)

The parameter ORGANISATIONAL DIMENSION shows all custom and analytical dimensions. The selected dimension will be the dimension of the step on which the data processing will be performed.

Options when setting up the parameters (⅗)

This step displays additional data processing parameters. They are:

  • DIMENSION ELEMENT CODE: represents the element belonging to the dimension chosen in ⅖ as the value of the DIMENSIONE_ORGANIZZATIVA parameter
  • Any reporting parameters defined within the DTP

The configuration options for each parameter are detailed below.

Option Description

In the case of two or more filters on the same dimension, the parameter will not be defined.
Excel Cell The system retrieves the value of the parameter from the desired Excel cell of the current sheet, specified with the syntax cell H30. Option not available for the DIMENSION ELEMENT CODE parameter
Insert Allows the user to enter the parameter value.
Select Allows the user to select the value of the parameter from a list of possible values.
Cell field The system retrieves the value of the parameter from a cell field. If this option is used for a dimensional parameter, it is preferable to type in an expression that, when defined, returns a node or leaf, not its code or description. For example, for an entity-type parameter, the expression $Entity must be used, not $Entity.code. Note: Boolean- and dictionary-type parameters are not supported.

Options in the execution configuration step (⅘)

Option Description
Force refresh Reloads the form with data updated after running the data processing.
Override refresh dimensions tree Reloads the dimensions tree with metadata updated after running the data processing.
Run when saving data The system automatically runs the data processing on saving the form opened in data entry to ensure that the data processing is run on updated data.
skip tab filters Excludes the values of the tab filters present in the form from the Automatic definition of the parameters.
"When saving data, please use modified cells for setting automatic parameters" The system only considers the filters of the edited cells for the purpose ofAutomatic definition of the parameters. For example, if two periods of a matrix containing 12 periods have been edited, the system only considers the filters of those cells to define the automatic parameters.
"At Runtime, show a link for the run" On opening a form in data entry mode, the system creates a link to the data processing from which it can be run.

Buttons in the save step (5/5)
