Working with data entry forms in Excel

Data Entry
Open a data entry form
- In the left-hand panel, select the desired application database.
- Select the process and the step. When the phase is selected, only the forms and/or groups related to the selected step are shown in the tree. If you want to select all steps, use the specific "All steps" option. In such cases, the Group by step option can be activated to show tree with the forms grouped by step.
- To run the form, select the desired form in the tree and click
. If requested, the Parameters window opens (see Parameters). - Select the desired parametric filters and click OK.
Note: the selected data entry form will open and the Data Entry toolbar will be displayed.
Entering data in forms
This procedure describes how to enter data in a standard form.
- Open the desired form (see Open a data entry form).
- To enter data, enter the desired cells in editable cells in the work desktop.
Show workflow tasks

Workflow - Grid
- In the left-hand panel, select the desired application database.
- Select the process and the step. On selecting the step, only the tasks of the selected step are shown in the task list. If All the steps is selected, the system shows all steps of the process in sequence, with the relative tasks.
- Only if the Enable submission by scenario/period option is active on the process, select a scenario/period.
- Select the desired entity or node of entities.
- Click
to refresh the task list.
Run a task
In the left-hand panel, click the desired task, then click
Run.
To mark a task as complete, click
. To unmark as complete, click
.
Run data processing

In the left-hand panel, click the desired data processing: a window will appear showing the data processing’s progress.
Alternatively, click
on the Data Entry bar and select the desired data processing: a window will appear showing the data processing’s progress.
Define a colour for editable cells
Excel > CCH® Tagetik >
Design > open form >
Form options > Layout options tab
In the Editable cells colour field, click
, then choose the desired colour to identify editable cells.
