Checks on datasets with the Measure dimension

Introduction

On opening in data entry mode and saving form data, the system verifies that the data saved on dataset fields via the form are coherent with the dimension elements of the process. Details of the checks available in the presence of the Measure dimension are provided below.

Dimension coherence checks

Where Scenario, Period, Entity and Measure dimensions are present in the form, the system checks that those dimensions correspond to those of the dataset fields.

For datasets that do not contain, as dataset fields or in partition logics, all the dimensions needed to identify the process submission status, no check is carried out and data can still be saved, regardless of the form structure and the process submission status.

Process coherence checks

For datasets containing at least one Measure and Scenario, Period or Entity, the saving of data must refer to scenarios, periods, entities and measures belonging to the process.

A Measure/Entity pair belongs to a process if, in the definition of the entity’s process data model, the measure has been associated with a step.

Coherence checks on process submission

In the presence of Scenario, Period, Entity and Measure dimensions in the dataset or partition logics, these checks verify that the saved data refer to specific scenarios, periods, entities and measures that have not yet been submitted.
