Features disabled on Web Client

CCH Tagetik Intelligent Disclosure for Word is available in both Web and Desktop versions of Word. While the Desktop version offers a full suite of features, the Web version provides a more streamlined experience, designed primarily for viewing and consulting the information in the document.

The following section details the features disabled in the Web version of Word.

Documents:

  • for document parts recursive updating is not allowed, when clicking the Update button on the Ribbon the system displays the message This functionality is currently not available with the Word Web version, the use of the Desktop application is recommended.

Objects

  • Checkbox and Dropdown objects are not supported in the Web application, it is possible to create and edit these objects using the Desktop application.
  • Objects (Table,Chart,Amount,Cel Field) can be added but the user will see the buttons (Update and Save) disabled in Edit mode.
  • When inserting objects of Chart type from the Web Application, the content of the object occupies the entire width of the document. To overcome this behaviour, we recommend inserting objects as images using the Desktop Application
  • for the Object List functionality, upon clicking the Available Updates button the system displays the message This functionality is currently not available with the Word Web version, the use of the Desktop application is recommended.
