Purpose of the tab¶
This tab lists all the fields defined in the definition query, sorted according to how they were listed in the query.

| List of fields | Lists all the fields that define the datasource. |
| Field properties panel | Shows the properties of the selected field. |

| Label | Field identifier, not editable. |
| Description | Description of the field in all languages managed in the environment. By default, this is the same as the identifier in Label, but can be edited. |
| Field type | - With dimension fields, this uniquely identifies the CCH Tagetik dimension or dimensional attribute. - With custom fields, this allows you to specify the field's data type. |
| Size | Allows you to uniquely associate the field with a CCH Tagetik dimension. Only text fields are allowed, and dimensions can only be associated with one field. |
| Time dimension rollup | For numeric fields, this allows you to define the roll-up logic on the time dimension, or the data aggregation method on the scenario/period dimension used by the reporting engine in multidimensional matrices. - Sum: (default) the data related to the scenarios/periods identified by the chosen period length are added together. - Last: only the data related to the chosen scenario/period are considered, regardless of the defined period length. |
| Conversion type | FX rate type to be used in the conversion step. |
| Field values | Allows you to select a dictionary defined in the workspace. |
| Query field code | Allows you to indicate the query field that identifies the code of the dictionary items to be shown in the form fields. |
| Query field description | Allows you to indicate the query field that identifies the description of the dictionary items to be shown in the form fields. |
| Out of dictionary values allowed | Enables the manual insertion of values not present in the dictionary. |
| Display mode | Displayed content that identifies the field in the columns of forms in navigation or data entry mode. - Code - Description - Code and Description Encoded: enables the saving of non-ISO Latin characters in the database. |
The system will apply the user restrictions based on the association between the fields and the dimensions.
If the datasource is defined on the basis of a dataset, it will not inherit the datasets properties, and so it will be necessary to specify the dimension of the data model associated with every field.
