Instance template

The instance templates specify which XBRL contexts can be used and link the Item / context pairs with the metadata of Tagetik.

A taxonomy must be related to each instance template.

After creating the instance template, it is possible to import the XBRL contexts by using the import utility. Please see import taxonomy and contexts.

A taxonomy can manage one or more MAINcontexts: these contexts are characterized only by the period (that can be instant or duration) and entity information. A main context doesn't contain any other dimension.

The combination of MD contexts (or sub-contexts) with the main contexts allows for the creation of all possible contexts that can be used for the taxonomy module.

In the MAPPING area, it is possible to associate the item / context pairs, that must be reported when creating the file, with the Tagetik dimension.
