Set roles

Create a custom roles

Repository > Users & Roles > Roles > Custom roles

  1. Click : a new row will appear in the table.
  2. In the Attributes tab, assign a code and meaningful description to the new custom role.
  3. In Reference Roles, if necessary, select one or several roles from which to inherit enabled functions.
  4. Click Save: the new custom role will appear in the custom roles table and can be customised.

Customise a custom role

Repository > Users & Roles > Roles > Custom roles

  1. Select the role to be modified and click > Enable functions: the page for configuring the functions associated with the selected role will open.
  2. Click : a new row will appear in the table.
  3. In the Attributes tab, from Module/Function, select a function or module to be enabled for the role.
  4. In Action, set the type of enabling.
  5. Click Save: the enabled function appears in the custom roles table.
  6. Click Definition result to see details of all the functions enabled for the selected role.
  7. To enable several functions, repeat the process from step 2.

Associate one or several roles with a user

Repository > Users & Roles > Users

Repository > Users & Roles > Users/Roles mapping

  1. Select the desired user.
  2. Click > Associate Users/Roles: the relationship page opens for the selected user.
  3. Click : a new row will appear in the table.
  4. In the Attributes tab, select the desired database and the desired role.
  5. If useful, define a period for which the association with the role will be valid.
  6. Set the type of access restrictions for the selected database.
