Managing hyperlinks

Open the Action List Wizard window

There are several ways in which the Action List Wizard window can be opened to create hyperlinks:

  • Select a cell and click .
  • Right click the desired cell and select Tagetik > New Hyperlink.
  • In the Open items tab, right click on the template in which to insert the hyperlink and select Hyperlink > New Hyperlink.

Create a hyperlink in a cell of the form using Open form

  1. Click the empty cell in which to insert the hyperlink.
  2. Open the Action List Wizard window. See Open the Action List Wizard window.
  3. In the list of runnable actions, select Open form and click : the Properties: Open form window will appear showing the forms present in the working application database.
  4. Select the desired forms and click Next.
  5. Set the way in which to value the parameters defined for all the forms selected on opening.
  6. If several forms are opened to ad system or ad hoc parameters, select + System parameter or + adHoc parameter as required and repeat step 5.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Indicate the way in which to open the target form and click OK: the Open form action will be added to the list of actions to be run.

IMPORTANT: in the Excel add-in, the opening of a form in a subsequent row/column can only be configured via hyperlinks. They can only be used in web forms.

  1. Click on an empty matrix cell in which to insert the hyperlink.
  2. Open the Action List Wizard window. See Open the Action List Wizard window.
  3. In the list of runnable actions, select Open form specified in the next row/column and click .
  4. Indicate the way in which to identify the target form and click OK: the Open form specified in the next row/column action will be added to the list of actions to be run.

At runtime, when the hyperlink is clicked, the system will open the form indicated in the cell of the next row/column.

Note: the parameters of the target form can only be inherited from the context.

Using the Filters cycle action

Excel > CCH® Tagetik > Design > (left-hand panel) click form > > Hyperlink (in Design bar)

  1. In the list of runnable actions, select Filters cycle and click : the Properties: Filters cycle window will appear.
  2. Select the desired dimensions on which to filter and click .
  3. Click OK.
  4. Select the actions to be repeated and click .
  5. Click OK.

Create a hyperlink in a matrix

Excel > CCH® Tagetik > Design > select form > Matrix

  1. In the Choose the dataset window, click on the desired dataset and on OK.
  2. Open an existing matrix, or create the matrix structure by inserting the desired filters on the rows and columns.
  3. Select the (static or dynamic) row/column on which to insert the hyperlink.
  4. In the properties table, click Hyperlink and define its properties.

Note: all the actions listed above can be inserted from the Action List Wizard.

  1. Click OK.
