Purge data tables
Tagetik offers the user a delete utility which allows them to delete the content of the tables used by the Cash Flow Planning module
This utility can be accessed from the administrator-user’s web interface, following the path Setup & Admin > Data processing > Data cleanup > Data tables.
Navigation panel> Data processing > Data cleanup > Data tables.
Firstly, the user must select the type of data to be deleted (by choosing the data item to be processed from those present under the “Cash Flow Planning” check box).
Once the data type to be deleted has been identified, the user can filter the data to be deleted by clicking on the Next button
The user must indicate:
- the process to be examined (required)
- any scenario/original period pairs there may be in order to filer the data to be deleted in relation to P&L and balance sheet events and attributes
- any entities / entity nodes in order to delete only data attributed to them
- any accounts to which the data to be deleted are attributed. This filter is not available if “Weights”, “Payment calendar”, “Accounting entries” or “Assets” has been selected as the type of data to be deleted
- any custom dimension elements in order to delete only data attributed to them. This filter is not available if “Weights”, “Payment calendar”, “Accounting entries” or “Work Orders” has been selected as the type of data to be deleted
- any events in order to delete only data generated by them. This filter is available if “P&L events” or “Balance sheet events” has been selected as the type of data to be deleted
- any filter on user (UserUpd) and date (DateUpd) in order to limit the deletion to only data entered or generated by a user on a certain date. This filter is always available, unless the type of data to be deleted is “Calculation detail”
- any filter on the origin of the data to be deleted. This option is particularly useful when the user wants to delete all data labelled with a specific origin en masse for the indicated process
- whether only 0 amount rows must be deleted. This filter is available if “Weights”, “P&L events” or “Balance sheet events” has been selected as the type of data to be deleted
Once the process and any other filters have been specified in order to identify the data to be deleted, it is possible to continue with the purge operation by clicking on the Next button.
At this point, the system displays the number of records that will be deleted for every selected data type.
By double clicking on a specific line it is possible to view the details of all the data that will be removed.
If the data to be deleted is correct, it is possible to proceed with the actual deletion by clicking on the “Run” button.
The deletion operation is irreversible; therefore, when the “Run” button is clicked, before actually starting the purge, the user is asked for confirmation via a message
